Addiction to internet 'is an illness'

well this isnt a theory in fact in Korea over a million children have had the treatment,due to their jobs-gold farmer's..etc. it is an addiction once you cant control it.
Anyways there will be people who are gonna look at this as just a theory,cause they know they over use the net. But this aint here to say u have an illness its just to make you realise how much you like the net.

i tihnk its just a bad habit. the first thing most people do when they get home is go online. oh well i dont mind ^^

 

Apparently anything can be labeled as addiction these days. I use the computer a lot because I think it's fun, addiction is when you can't stop doing something even if you think it's stupid. But without technology, how else are you going to have fun. Not many parents or people these days understand that people should be able to do what they want to have fun, without being called addicts or having no life.

I absolutely hate it when my parents go " get off that thing"

Or when i used to play Runescape " how can you sit there and play that thing all day" while they were thinking its an arcade game...

 

Ya I mean, Runescape is an absouloutely terrible game, but if you want to play it for hours on end it's up to you, not your parents.

 

I'm not an internet addict. I'm very social IRL. I only come on the computer when I'm home because there is nothing else to do.

 

Ya, same for me, there isn't really anything else to do.

The internet is like an information portal for me, instead of going to the library and searching for books, I can just go online and search for whatever I am wondering about and find it.
