Actually look at the anti-scam section?

What I have noticed is that less than 1 out of 100 threads posted in the anti-scam section actually gets read and the suspect banned. For example the scammer duckhound, was reported 1 week ago, not replied yet. Yesterday, I got scammed by him, since I trusted him and he was not banned on Sythe. Same day, another guy got scammed, lost 50$. Today, another one got scammed by him. Multiple people post in his thread trying to sell accounts, and since he is not banned, people will still trust him and get scammed the same way.

Is the anti-scam section just a place for mods to laugh at stories of miserable people that lost their money online? Seems like it.
You could prevent many many scams by actually banning the scammers. I have had 0 successful trades on this site, 3 times scammed and none of the scammers have been banned.

Dont trade with untrusted people, it isnt that hard.

 

you can go to report a scammer section... and search the name of the guy ur trading on the forum...
easy to check if he has been reported or not =P

 

It's not about how to avoid getting scammed. It's about how to prevent scammers from coming to this site.

 

very true....people who are trusted can scam.....and yet they dont get banned...cause i have provided decent proof to where a guy scammed me and yet it was never declined nor accepted

you cannot prevent that... they can be banned.. and then scamm again on other accounts...

 

It's not that simple. You do not simply start out trusted, you have to work your way up.

Oh wait, you did do a search. You found 4 cases (not including yours) of Duckhound scamming, yet you still put yourself in a position that you could easily be scammed in. When we get to it, we'll get to it. Then he will be banned. Get off your throne drama-queen, we don't need to hear it. It your fault you were scammed, not anybody elses.

If we didn't have so many leechers get scammed that just walk right into trades without taking precautions, they wouldbe able to keep up

but sadly some people never learn.

 

I am getting so sick and tired of these stupid suggestions, you mean to say you saw a guy reported in the scammer section 4 other times and still traded with him? HOW STUPID can you be.

AND AFTER being scammed by someone who was reported to be a scammer you have the AUDACITY to blame the staff of sythe? THEY ARE PEOPLE they have their own lives outside of babysitting a bunch of 12 year olds who can't trade intelligently.

You know what forget banning the scammers, i think we need to start banning those who get scammed. We'd have a lot less whining going on in the forums and then those of us who are intelligent enough to trade can do so without having to hear all this bitching and moaning all the time.

In short, whenever trading with someone check the report a scammer section PRIOR to trading. And even if they check out YOU SHOULD use an OFFICIAL MIDDLEMAN. The rank was brought to sythe for a reason why don't you morons start to use it instead of complaining you got scammed because YOU didn't want to pay the fee.
