Activating Windows problem

Okay so I activated Windows xp about a month ago and just recently it said I have to activate it again whenever I click my name to log into windows.
But each time I click "okay" to activate it again, it takes me to the blank windows desktop of mine and it says "Windows is already activated" and it kicks me to the log in screen where it gives me the notification to activate windows.
I am stuck in this eternal loop.
I am using a MacBook Pro 15 inch using BootCamp to use windows.

Well if you downloaded a cracked version which you probably did lol then Microsoft raped you, otherwise the only thing i can think of if its actually legit is to take all the data you want off your HD and then reinstall XP with the legit key you have. (youll have to call MS and explain what happened and they will reactivate your key)

 

Get a different copy of windows, Perhaps windows 7, which is an open beta at windows.com. It is infact bootable from USB, you just have to get it set up right.

 

well I just changed the regedit settings so it seems that i have entered my key (got how to do that from youtube)
but i dont want all my data to be deleted if i reinstall windows or windows 7
