    I was wondering whether or not I am allowed to trade account in exchange for referrals to different sites. I realize this is shaky ground, but I would like to know regardless.

    I don't actually know if you can, or cannot do this. The sythe.org Rules say:

    I guess you can, as long as the referral link is not posted on sythe. I'm not 100% sure, I advise you to ask one of the mods/admins of sythe, before going ahead with anything.
