Explanation of the trade:

1. Account (Posting) was sold by Seller who was the OO. Given my lack of market experience at that time, I helped middleman the sale as I trusted the OO and provided insurance for a fee which I agreed to give the OO if no issues at the end of 2 years. I've worked with OO in the past hence the arrangement >> Contract
2. Account was locked 2 months after sale. It was locked when Buyer went PKing which is really unusual. Multiple recovery / unlock attempts were denied for the OO >> Screenshot
3. OO refuses to refund as he has successfully recovered that account multiple times in the past and is speculating the buyer likely did something suspicious causing the perm’ lock status. The login email matches their IRL name hence I am certain they are OO. Registered Email and Email matching the login isn't getting any emails.
4. Buyer has a history of getting accounts locked (once based on their own admission) and banned (once — See deleted post for transcript highlighting this).
5. On Point 4, Buyer misrepresented their RWT activity on the banned account once which led to the ban
6. Based on piecing what I've together, account likely landed a RWT ban as buyer mentioned they got kicked off the account while PKing likely buying gold. Trying to appeal the ban likely lead to a lock in which case, the ban voids the contract

Sythe Input required:
(1) I’ve refunded $200 to the buyer already. Remaining funds were to be paid this month
(2) If Sythe deems the Insurance Claim to be valid, Seller owes me $825 and I'll pay the buyer $625 on or before 10 Jan as mutually agreed. If so, I anticipate seller to not pay me hence will apply for community repayment afterwards

Update from 6 Jan:
- OO sent another recovery attempt which was denied. Email comms between Jagex and OO asking for earlier passwords to prove ownership

I am the buyer of this account and would like to state a couple of points:

- Mrpirex1 and I were in conversation and he suggested that his friend “WEL RICK” had an account for sale and pIrex said he trusted him. This I did not doubt, however, as I did not want to get scammed, PIrex offered me a 2 year insurance plan that protected me from unsuccessful unlocks or if the OO “wel Rick” AKA PVMLORD recovered the account. I took this insurance and now after many tries of recovering the account, PVMLORD says he can’t remember the earlier passwords of the account which is an early question in the recovery page.
- A side agreement (NOT IN THE CONTRACT) was made by Middleman (MrPirex1) and the OO (PVMLORD) that if the account could not be reobtained, the OO would fully reimburse the middleman the full purchase price of the account ($825). Suddenly, due to many failed attempts at a recovery of the OO’s account, he does not want to pay. The OO claims I was doing sketchy stuff on the account, hence, the permanent lock. I can assure you that this was a false lock and I was pking at the time. I was shopping around and buying some bulk runes for the account at the GE at world 302 and then went pking and logged off for some time and came back for a lock. I give my full word that I did not break any rules. There are some offences on the account like macroing bans and some quashed mutes which were present upon purchase and committed by the OO. I am unsure as to why this was locked and I suggested to the OO And Mm that this had happened to other people on reddit of which they had posted about on that platform.
- This account was locked months ago and I was promised the remainder of my $625 insurance payment (MrPirex1) by the 8-10 of January 2024. Suddenly, I open discord and now this is taken further as the OO is trying to overrule the contract by trying to claim that I was RWTING which I 100% was not and for that matter not breaking any rules.

 

Side note:
- There was a side agreement made between OO and MM which I WAS NOT involved in. This was that if the account could not be unlocked or was recovered by the OO, the OO would pay the Mm (Mrpirex1) the full amount of account purchase price ($825). Mrpirex1 gave me a timeframe in order for the OO to unlock, in the meantime he said he will pay me $200/$825 and will give me the remaining $625 on January 8-10th. This side deal did not involve me and as per the contract, I’m entitled to my $625 of which I have been waiting many weeks for now.

 

A lot to digest from my post. TLDR version:

1. Account 1: Buyer purchased from Chicksgold w/ 1 month warranty. Locked after a few months and were out of luck. Irrelevant to this post but painting my history w/ them
2. Account 2: Purchased within Peanut Services lifetime warranty against recovery/locks. 1 day after sale, account gets perm ban for RWT. Bans not covered under warranty terms so our Caper refused to refund and gathered photographic evidence that buyer was shopping for 5B in various servers. I convinced our Caper to recover the account and appeal under "Hijacked" to which Buyer offered 200M as incentive to help with recovery. That's the 200M discussed but Buyer refused to give it as account didn't get unbanned but we never intended to take 200M. Note: During the whole duration of this process, Buyer never lost access to account. It was just banned
3. Account 3: In order to help Katana, I taught him ways to minimise RWT bans. He was looking for a 2.2K+ account and asked me if I could get him one. Wel Rick was trying to sell the account so I connected these 2 without any upside to the trade personally. Given my lack of knowledge, I took on additional responsibility as the middleman.
   
   Transcript was provided just to previous experience. Account in this report wasn't done through server.
   

Having said that, the OO cannot recover the account either. I have screenshots of communications between OO and Jagex on recovery attempt. Recovery attempts have been going on for 1 month now.

 

hi Pirate, that’s correct! I was practically lied to into paying 200m into trying to get the details of an account that was perm banned regardless. Prior to buying the capers account, he did an infernal cape on that account as per request and had over 1B+ gear on it which included a twisted bow. This might have flagged jagex as it went from having 1.5B or so gear on it —> that gear transferred to the capers alt —> Ip changing to my IP. I accepted this and moved on. My deal with chicksgold is totally irrelevant and that account got locked and they were unable to get into contact with the OO. Nevertheless I didn’t have insurance/warranty on the account and accepted what had happened in both the chicks and Lagq (caper) situation.

In saying so, I purchased insurance between MrPirex1 and I in order to cover me in uncontrollable situations like this where they account is locked. The OO (AKA scammer) who is an ex-worker of peanut services - WEL Rick or PVMLORD said he had every detail that is required to unlock account and did not want to pass on recovery information as he will deal with it. Once again, it’s been weeks and it hasn’t been unlocked as recently it has come to light that he doesn’t know any early passwords. Mrpirex1 said he will pay me the remaining $625 of the $825 insurance by 8th—>10th of January. I am still waiting for this.

 

I can confirm i did not pay the staff/worker 200m. He tried to hustle me out of it but I called him out and tried to play it off and get technical with "i got the account recovered so you owe me 200m" even though it was still perm banned as per the end of the transcript.

 

Was an extremely sketchy thing to do given he was a 'trusted' staff member in the discord and other discords working as an inferno worker.

 

Yes 200M was never taken. Was never the intention but as it was voluntarily offered, the caper was poking fun at the issue. Regardless, it wasn't the best reaction on both sides so I/another mod kept the conversation civil. With regards to Account 2, the ban was not covered in terms explicitly hence the outcome. Transcript was provided for patterns

Account 3 was done wholely outside server as there was no financial benefit other than buyer & seller.

 

Buyer mentions upon account recovery/unlock, we will find 300M all made through various stuff done in game. Providing XP gained since sale -- Unsure which in-game method pays over 300M over 1M xp gained in 2.5 months.

Hey, thanks for tracking the account. Seem to be defending the scammer alot.
Doesn't take lots of rng at pvm and twitch/discord giveaway wins to make 300m. Check Vancouver 07 discord under giveaways, won a dfh in october and had on alt. Anyway, slayed monsters and did so much PKING which can be seen below and can be seen in BH rank if the account is searched from hiscores. I didn’t gain much Exp because in BH, there is no exp gained in any skills, hence, little exp gain with high GP gain. Also took some money from my alt after resting this acc on my IP. Also had some money on the account which was kindly left for me by OO upon sale.

We are steering from the point, I did no sketchy things and we are waiting for a mod verdict. I am entitled to my $625 under insurance and we are outlining the scammer PVMLORD AKA WEL RICK who scammed us both and is refusing to pay you. Nevertheless, I am not involved in your own personal deals and that he did you over. He was your ex-colleague as it seems and I expect to be paid.

Last thing I will add is that in image 1 of 300m in 2nd line i said falsely banned along with other users that yelled out on reddit. that was a mistake and meant a false lock.

I'll add one last comment here before leaving it for a verdict.

In my experience both as a buyer and seller, accounts have never been locked unless I received a ban (temp/perm) that I appealed under hijacked or IP location changed very quickly between different ends of Earth while moving substantial wealth. Regardless, when you try unlocking, the email is always sent to Registered Email or the Email that matches the login email. In this case, neither is receiving it.

I immediately refunded the $200 first as it was originally held as incentive for the seller to provide immediate support for recovery/locks over 2 years while figuring out what exactly happened. Rest of the story is covered in the above.

I still firmly believe that account landed a RWT temp ban which was appealed and subsequently locked (Supported by one of the statements I got earlier before recanting).

Another member shared a prior Sythe ruling/precedence today which shares similarities to this report:

I’ll add a quick comment too before verdict.
I have 0 reason to appeal an account to risk a lock of which I have absolutely 0 information about including the possession of the registered email (which was discussed in the contract to be held by MM pIrex for 2 years). I had free recoveries by the OO, sounds very illogical to draw dead on a recovery attempt where I can barely answer a single question and risk a permanent lock. It's commons sense.

 

Mods - Not to rush you as we all have IRL responsibilities.Would appreciate input as I’d like to resolve this issue before I begin travel.
