I apologise if this seems like a rant, but I have to get a few things of my chest that have really annoyed me last day or 2.
I was recently told by one of my real life friends that one of his accounts was unbanned in this account review process. I knew for fact that he had RWT and autoed on his account. I know he is a major rule breaker, and when he was finally banned he apologised in his appeal and it was rightfully denied. I am not going to rat out my friend because I wouldn’t be one if I did.
Now the worrying and most upsetting thing is that one of my accounts was banned for RWT (jagex knows which account I am referring to), but instead of me actually committing the offence, I was not in control of the account, that is the god honest truth. I was on holiday at the time and this day still I have proof of my airline ticket. I come back after my holiday finding that my account is stolen. I then try and recover my account and I eventually get it back, however it is banned for RWT and all the appeals are used up. I was upset and I tried contacting jagex with no luck and they kept sending me the same old message "you were in control of the account..." I gave up.
Now last week or so I sent in an appeal for my account and I told my friend about it. He also sent in an appeal. He then recently told me that his account was unbanned and so I checked mine and I find that I am received no private messages. Now I can play the waiting game, but I know for FACT that my appeal will be denied. How is it that my friend gets away with 2 major offences and that my fate is still yet to be decided?
Is it the luck of the draw? Does it depend on which jagex staff is reviewing the account? Does it depend upon what the mood of that individual is?
