Thoughts on J-Bots

Here's the link on the RSOF, with 306 replies and growing, could this possibility become a reality?

 

No... it would turn the game in to an RSPS that has no value/achievement in it. It's bad enough already.

It's an incredibly idiotic idea, you pay for membership on a game to pay to not play that game.

That being said, it's the kind of idiotic shit Jagex would probably implement.

Are you saying RSPS' have no value or achievements in them? Because if so I strongly disagree..

I've played RSPS' alongside RuneScape for years, and they're not all stupid spawn servers, there's a number of them out there with XP rates between 2x and 10x the official game.

The difference between RuneScape and RSPS' is that obviously things are easier to obtain, and money is easier to make, but think about it, the sheer fact that money is easier to make means that items cost more, so that levels out the playing field.

Polls suggest that atleast 20% of the RuneScape community has at least tried an RSPS once, and the majority of the people on my Skype friends list comes from servers such as SoulSplit, UltimateScape, CreativeScape, and RuneRebels.

My point, if you missed it, is that clearly this idea is terrible and j-bots so to speak will never be implemented into the game, but don't compare something as horrifically pathetic to RuneScape private servers.

If jagex did this some people might like it, but most of the people who already trained their stats legitly will argue otherwise, + itll essentially make the game an rsps (and gp will completely lose its value)

 

The gp is pretty much worth nothing right now compared to what it used to be worth. The gp has already lost its value, not long ago gp prices were .23-.31 at max for eoc, i personally sold 5,5B for .25 which is not really that great at all. Private server gold is almost in the same price range. EoC is just destroyed. Oldschool on the other hand still has some value to it.

 

I would laugh if they did. Seemed like a troll from the get go tbh.

 

If anything I would see them making different levels which have different exp rates. Then giving players who use different levels appropriate advantages

Stupid idea, runescape definitely wouldn't be worth playing if bots were legal.

TBH, most skills can be AFK'd there are no need for bots.

 

Membership, where we can pay to play! Let's pay for membership to play, but instead of it play it ourselves pay even more money for a computer to play it for us. Let's pay to have a computer play the game instead of us! Pay to... not play?

Wait let's think about this here. Training in RS is really so undesirable and boring that we are suggesting jagex makes a legal bot to play the whole game for us and level all of our skills. Jagex makes a bot within their game that we subscribe to(that we pay to play) to play the game for us. We pay them money to have a computerized bot play their game. So this seems like a good idea to you yeah: to pay them to have a computer play their own game. I'm going to leave it at that lol. There is something wrong with that.
