yes "it" has. people have let themselves get addicted. it was referring that people have gotten addicted, have single-handily broken apart their family, "it" was not referring to the game. obviously this video is fake, but it happens all the time, and not just world of warcraft.

 

Rofl this is fake but still funny as hell.

 

Regaurdless of it being real you can restore you character I've restored a character up to 8 months back (62 Pally) and still managed to get him without the gear but the game master gave me 200g to buy new gear. Has this happend to people yeah but these video are pointless since you can recover them so easily remember this isnt runescape.
