Accepting PP payments via Donation?

Hi, I currently sell BSGP, a lot of untrusted members want to purchase BSGP from me via PP.

Is it possible that I could accept the PP payment via them donating onto my account? Would I instantly be able to see/know that they have donated? and what would happen if they charge back - would my account be held accountable even though another sythe user donated and then chargedback?

Obviously I would want to instantly know if they have paid me, and I wouldn't want to be banned if they eventually chargeback/reverse payment, so just checking before I go ahead and do it

You should be safe from chargebacks, because paypal considers it a Donation so the buyer has no support from paypal when it comes to charging back. And yea you receive the payment instantly, you can tell if it was a donation or not by seeing if the payment detail has a shipping address attached, if it doesn't then it was a donation. Even donations can be chargedback, anything can be. So don't feel fully safe doing this, all they need to do is send a donation via VPS or something and claim it wasn't them and paypal can see this via IP addresses, also there is buyer protection so either way they can chargeback. They could even lie about sending too much by accident.

Chronic scammers can just make new ban evading accounts whenever, though. Making their payments donations probably won't help you out any - if someone wants to charge you back, they'll find a way, and if not, they won't.

I would, but PA doesn't offer the sale of RSPS GP

 

Everything on paypal can be chargedback somehow.You should stop doing PP if you think you're risking

 

- If they donate in your name as payment for the BSGP (may take 5 mins - 24 hours to process, sometimes more, sometimes less), and then chargeback, you will lose the donation value, but your account won't be banned.

-In regards to the donation processing instantly, it's probably not even possible for 'proper' new users. As to donate directly via PP to Sythe.org there are certain stipulations that must be met (check the user centre - i,e waiting period, minimal amount to start etc).

 

It is still possible to sell through PA if you offer the same value as it would be with GP. As long as both of you are honest. Should a dispute arise, I don't think pa will accept your screenshots as valid so still be careful.

 

Thanks for the info, I think you are the only one who fully understood my question, as I wasn't clear about it being a sythe donation, and not just a normal donation into my PP account.
