The market is getting rocked right now, Bitcoin is down nearly 25% on Stamp so far today. Many reasons behind it, but mainly it seems to be from the news that MTGOX has disabled all withdrawal functions (BTC and USD) until Monday, according to the press release:

    https://www.mtgox.com/press_release_20140207.html

This is a crazy volatile day. Never seen anything like it.

Agreed. I don't believe Gox will ever recover from this mishap. One too many "mishaps" with withdrawals. On another note, I did read today that Russia gave the go-ahead to ban Bitcoins. Interesting move on their part.. This was a pretty decent sized dip, definitely saw some enormous sell orders go through. The price has since stabilized slightly to around $650 - $700 USD at the moment.

I'm more than covered from this loss though, since I bought in early on VTC ([email protected], sold [email protected], could have gotten 0.013 - 0.014 for the first 2 hours) and was online when coinmarket.io posted on the VTC thread saying they were going to list it shortly, while cryptsy followed suit quickly after.
