    Abortion?

It depends on how they're disabled. If they're not rational, then yes.

    Abortion?

Rights spring from the principle of self-ownership. To own anything, including oneself, one must be rational.

    Abortion?

I agree with abortion. People say, they are alive and its not fair, but they dont feel it. No teen age girl needs to grow up with a kid to feed, and nurture.

    Abortion?

Why not? What about parents? What about adoption? Are they really alive? Who says feeling it gives them rights?

[note; I am pro-choice, but I just want to hear your opinions why, and see you verify your argument]

    Abortion?

My reason: I'm disgusted. I would have a 9 year old brother right now, if my mom had not had a stillbirth...

    And this picture..

So you think abortion should be made illegal?

    Abortion?

Yes, I believe it is murder.

For whoever to decide it is "official murder", and to make it illegal, I do not know.

    Abortion?

Then some women will go to black market abortionists, others will have their unwanted children. Everyone wins, just like in Nigeria

    Abortion?

There's an adoption center, after-pill, and condoms for a reason.

Generally the back-alley clinics are used when the pill/condoms fail.

Also, not everybody wants to carry a baby to term.

You're right, which is what the day-after pill is for.

    Abortion?

Abortion is one of the most messed up things I can think of. If you are foolish enough to not want a baby and have un-safe sex that is your own idiotic fault. I would much rather have the un-respectable parents give the baby away to adoption then abort it. It is killing a human life. I do not care what you say about it being only and egg and sperm. As soon as it divides it becomes a creature. One that will think and breath and thrive if you give it the chance. God made sex for the creation of life. If you take advantage of it and then want to destroy what your own ignorance has created then you are a fool.

    Abortion?

What if a woman is raped? Is abortion wrong in this situation?

Can you prove that there is a God who created sex for the creation of life?

And if the woman is two months pregnant?

I don't think you have a clear understanding of both sides of the issue.

    Abortion?

In that situation I do not see it as wrong to have an abortion, but that is usually not the case. That is the case in 1/10000 times. Can I prove that God exists... No. The fact is I can't. That is why it is faith. The evidence is in the lives of those who have been saved. If you don't believe that is your own folly. It is not my place to make you believe in God or that there is a God, but on the off chance that I am right and there is a God would you really want to risk an eternity in Hell? I know you can not grasp the thought of eternal damnation but it is what will happen if you do not take Jesus Christ into your heart as your savior. I will be praying for you as I am for many other people on sythe, but I am not the savior so I can not make you nor convince you that he is real. You have to come to that conclusion yourself.

Shedder I understand what you are talking about with me not knowing both sides of the issue, but the thing is I was referring to the mass majority of cases where the abortion is because of someones foolish actions like un-safe sex. In the case of rape it is debatable whether that is right or not. I am on the side of it being ok for abortion under those circumstances, but then comes into affect the chance that people would claim to be raped just so they could not have to have the baby.

You view abortion as the murder of a human being, yet you condone it in some cases? Your view is logically incoherent.

If you want to have be irrational in your decision making, fine, but don't try to use it as justification to prevent others from acting.

Why do you support murder in some circumstances, but not others?

    Abortion?

Why do you say my decision making is irrational? Because I believe in the unseen? If the woman was raped it was not a decision made by the person. It is a unwilling choice. I was referring to a woman who has willfully had sex and got pregnant. Are you trying to tell me that I am wrong? If a woman is raped there are so many psychological levels that it changes them. The baby they are carrying is a reminder of the happening. It was in no way her fault that it happened that way. If you are just going to say because I believe in God that all my thoughts are irrational then there is no way for me to convince you of anything. Just give it some thought.

    Abortion?

You believe in a God that can see every thing that every body does, every second of every day... Some how I doubt he can. What a mind fuck?

There is no evidence that any body has been saved... How could they be used as evidence? They are dead!

I'll take my chances and risk eternity in hell.

    Don't pray for me.

You're not backing your evidence with any rational claims. Is there any rational proof of the existence of God?

Okay, so you are condoning, by your OWN argument, MURDER in some situations but not others? It's not like the baby knows that the rapist is its father when it's getting killed.

Obviously this debate isn't about women's rights, it's about the rights of an unborn child. How come the rights of the unborn child change dependent on the circumstance?

Please don't go and keep using the excuse that I am irrational all the time because of my religion. If you are going to go and say that all my statements are irrational because they are based on a religion which is in itself irrational then there is no point in further arguing with you because you have your mind set on my points having no validity. If you would please be open minded enough to see me out I would greatly appreciate that.

What I was saying was that in the case of rape it is not a self influenced choice to get pregnant. The woman was forced to have sexual intercourse which then led to a fetus. I was saying before that woman who have un-safe sex and then want to kill there mistake is completely wrong. The death of a being is wrong, and I will not justify the killing of a baby when someone is raped, but I can see where they are coming from in wanting the baby to be aborted.
