A section for book discussion!

I had a look on the General Discussion sections, and you seem to have Music and Movie sections, in the Media thread, but none for books?

I noticed this when i thought about making a thread to ask for some opinions on some book series i have read, and was unsure where to put it.

I may be wrong, and there is already a section for this, so if that is the case, please remove this thread and try not to berate me for being blind.

 

Been suggested before and denied. There just isn't enough activity for a book/literature section.

 

Surely now with the introductions of Kindle and other eReaders, the eBook scene is really kicking off?

Especially now many books can easily be obtained (albeit illegally through torrents) in eBook format for next to nothing?

Ah well, i didn't see it in the do not suggest list, was worth a go.

Maybe we could do some sort of vote, to see just how many people would like this implemented?

This would include comics, and other literature, as i'm sure that would widen the user range of the thread.

I agree with this. I do miss have a space to talk about Literature of all types.

So I would support.

 

If you want to have a discussion about literature or sorts of literature why couldn't you just open a topic in the general forum about that particular subject? I hardly see any topics in relation to literature and unless there's a need for a section I can't support this.

If you'd like to discuss books, I'd suggest making a topic in the general and if more and more topics continue to be posted int hat section maybe this could be a feasible suggestion.

 

This, as of right now there's not enough demand nor is there a reason to make the section. Going to deny this.
