A question to everyone, including staff.

?

Are the staff above the rules?

  1. Yes, staff shouldn't be responsible for their msn and don't need to pay anyone back.

I think the difference in severity plays a key role there.

    Not at all.

You see, a rule is a rule and must be followed. If you do not follow it, why should others?

I suppose. But the thing is, the world isn't a utopia, therefor not everything is followed in the exactly straight line it was intended to.

I may get away with 32 pixels thanks to the leniency of some mods, but whether or not someone should get away with over 300 of stolen mills is quite a different story.

This should be the EXACT opposite. If there was 100% without a doubt that the account was hacked and scammed on the person SHOULDN'T have to repay any money if it because it was someone else. Even if it was unsure, the money MUST be repaid because money was scammed REGARDLESS.

The fact that they are stolen, is good enough for me.

I still think that you should follow the rules, before critizing others for not following them.

I don't think R2 asked an admin if it was ok for him to not pay 300M back to people that were scammed before he did it.

I'm not breaking a rule if I asked for permission. You overlook something in the rules.

So, before you try and criticize me on not knowing the rules, maybe you should have yourself a good read beforehand.

Do you know this for sure?

So just because you asked to break the rules, you can break them? Seems pretty flawed and pretty useless of the rules to me.

What if a mod tells me that i can scam? Does that make it ok?

True or not it would be wrong.

Find me a mod that would and watch him be demoted in minutes.

Thats not the point. Just because one person says its alright, does it make it alright? I doubt I could find a mod that would tell me that, but if they did does that make it alright for me to scam? I mean, they gave me the right away to do it..so its right, right?

Once again, you need to step back from the technicality of everything and realize this isn't a utopia - there are leniency on things and not on others.

Then there is a leniency on R2p's hacker scamming hundreds.

    You see, its a circle.

How so? Even if there is, the leniency isn't big enough to simply disregard it.

I hope you mean small, instead of big.

No, because if he was hacked it wasn't his fault.

So you're saying we should remove the rule that you're responsible for your msn?

No, because I could go on a scamming spree with my msn, and just say i was hacked.

Should we remove the sig rule, since you break it?

No this isnt true at all. You can barely trust anyone here, and if we back up what you just said then no one will trade anymore.

I would like to hear R2P's point of view on this situation, because he is a fine RSGP seller. When I first joined sythe, i sold him mills via mail, and the mail never came in. I told him, and he took my word for it and refunded the money just fine.

Yes, but they said that there was solid proof that he was hacked, but there was not enough information on if he got Hacked or not. But the man who got hacked had to payback, but the person who we're not sure about, didn't have to. He should take responsibility about the situation, not claim he got hacked, he shouldn't have to pay anything back b/c I'm trustworthy.

very good poll - best ive seen so far.
if R2's MSN got hacked, it's his responsibility to pay it back or he should get banned; like the rest of us.
