A question on Random Events.

Are random's controlled strictly by the server? It seems like i dont get random events when im doing a quest? is there a way to exploit this?

As in alching in the middle of a quest or something like that? does anyone else experience this with quests? i only seem to get randoms when skilling

 

Yeah, Jagex is giving randoms when a lot of people are in one place or when you are training skills/killing NPCs.

 

If you are talking about botting magic (Alching) there are a few spots in which are 'immune' to randoms... burthrope games room, duel arena medical area, pest control bank.

 

Those just seem to obvious of spots, they are constantly watched and the mods can turn invisible

Fair enough, but if you're going to autoclick in spots where randoms are going to pop up, then you're screwed. If you're using a bot, in which is not compatible with randoms, then you're screwed. Those spots aren't obvious, if you make your PID very high (Don't know how) you will appear on the bottom of everyone in a highly populated bank/area, so nobody will even notice you're there.

So those spots, aren't so bad.

 

From what I've been told randoms are based quite a lot around the XP you're gaining and the amount of clicks you're making.

This may be incorrect but I thought I'd throw my two pence in there.

 

I think randoms are random, hence why they are called randoms

 

I certainly know that in the past randoms were heavily based on how much XP you were gaining - I knew a high levelled player who would get a random every 300k XP like clockwork. They've changed things around a lot though now, so I'm not sure if this is still the case.

 

i got 30 randoms a day in the second week whilst training crafting and alching my hides it got so anoying i decided to stop , i suggest just going to the busiest pc world possible and stack on someone and alch there

 

exactly what I do, pick the busiest world and sit around alching haha

 

randoms are triggered randomly by the server, every so often if you do an action in which xp is gained.

 

There are several places you don't get random events, gaining exp quickly increases your chance of getting one, and failing random events increases your chances of getting one.

 

Alching in your POH is what a lot of people does.
