I was thinking... If I get a "real" job between now and then then I'm not going to do the porn. The long term affects outweighs the short fast money. I would be better off if I just got a normal job and go to school. Porn is great and pays well, however.. Once it's over... It's over. Money stops and on top of that no accomplishment.

 

People make approximately $38,800 gross income per year. You're making almost 10x that in one year.

Go for it.

Then use the money for college tuition and to pay all of your expenses.

My thoughts on this whole thing:

Girls think that having sex without a relationship is weird and they can't bring themselves to do it so they want to cockblock you. Guys don't like you doing it because they, deep down in their hearts, want to do what you have the opportunity to do. Parents just think it's weird so they shoot down the idea. If your parents liked the idea I would consider moving away from them because the thought of their son having sex on a camera wouldn't disturb them, and that's fucked up and you should be scared.

There is seriously nothing to lose and any other guy would kill to be in the same position (lolwut) as you even if they don't admit it.

People don't care when people play video games for a living but when they have sex and record themselves it suddenly becomes this horrible disgusting terrifying thing that they despise with all their being. Each are dream jobs but one makes you a bad person. There is no real good reason for it making you a bad person because it doesn't make you one.

I know this isn't a debate but I really would hate to see you (or anyone) pass up an opportunity like this so I am trying to show you my thoughts showing why I think that it is no big deal and that it's just another job and that the benefits of this will be amazing.

 

I agree with you Supah Fly. I'm going to sign up.. As you said.. there is nothing to lose. I'm happy you said something, now I feel better about the situation. In total I would be paid 60k*10. 10 being the SoEs. I would get paid half up front and the other half I would be paid monthly over the 12 month period. The contract is also renewable depending on situations. I would be crazy to pass up something like this.

Honestly.. I would rather do this... and have the worst happen... Then wondering everyday of my life "What could have/should have/ would have" happened. "what if I"

What Sin666 said. It will seriously fuck up your life when you are older. May be cool now but when you apply for some fancy job they will find your record and boom your out of a job later on (You cant do porn when your 60) Atleast make sure they dont have STD's.

From what I have heard, the porn industry is very horrible, especially for women. The money is worth it but the contracts sound bad. Maybe try one video without a contract if it's possible. Also, remember the risks that come with this profession - STDs etc.

 

I think I saw a documentary on MTV a while ago, they were following a straight guy who was starting out in the porn business. He was straight, but he did gay porn since it pays several times as much. I think it was something like, 10k per gayporn vid, and 'only' 1 or 2k per straight vid. So I'm kinda surprised about your pay, but regardless, you should follow your instincts and not care too much about your parents' opinion. They most likely don't want you to do it for the simple fact of them having to explain to THEIR friends/family what you're doing.

For parents and such, having their son be a porn actor isn't the most prestigious thing (at all).
