A possible reason to why gp is crashing?

Anyone remember there was a cash dupe glitch w/the new bounty hunter that come out to rs3 pre-eoc?, maybe there's a dupe glitch in rs07 sorta like that causing the rsgp prices to drop, because I remember back then rsgp prices went from $0.5/m straight down to $0.2-$0.3/m. And even a trusted sythe member got banned for selling over $30k-$50k worth of duped rsgp (forgot the members name). What are your thoughts on this?

 

could be so. I expected gold prises to start rising since June 20th since most of the exams and classes are over. If the price of gold still goes down during summer then I would assume that there is a glitch/bug. about 1-2 months ago a Jmod allowed a corp glitch where the corp wouldn't retaliate when you hit it with a gmaul and click "log off". Some person made bills off of that which is maybe why gold prices dropped drastically. I would expect that the Jmod who did this also put a few more exploits in the system.

 

I think it is just the lack of demand and much more gold coming into the game. Remember that 07rs is still fairly new, and there are only so many expensive items you need in it. More gp constantly being added and less people needing it. It will never reach $3/m again, but hopefully it will rebound a bit.

 

I just hope it goes back up like at least 50 cents/m, I'm holding on to quite a bit right now and i dont wanna sell with gold crashing this fast and prices getting fucked.

There's a MASSIVE dupe going on right now with the platinium tokens. Billions of GP are being duped at this very moment (There was a dupe involving rat pits, but another one hasn't been patched yet)

 

New token update is bound to have dupes. It could be that or the fact that people aren't needing as much gold due to new gold farming methods.

 

It apparently has nothing to do with plat tokens. Its a rat pit minigame dupe.

They were able to produce over 70B in the game without a ban and sold over 40B of it.

If you read the thread I gave you there's a post of a tweet where Quint says there's another dupe glitch going on that's bigger than the rat catchers one.

He had two methods in rat pits, one that produced 7+m/h and one that produced 1-2m/h, the "Larger" dupe was the 7+m/h glitch but both were patched.

edit: Unless he meant theres a third dupe unrelated to these two that produces even more than 7M/H.... i hope not. >_<

 

He meant a third glitch and there was a post on reddit made by a user a couple of days back stating they found a way to dupe thr tokens and that they were gonna post a vid after the patch, they were duping over 7m/hr on their previous method on rat catchers and still didnt cause gold prices to drop from 1.8$/m to 1.3$/m. It has to be a major dupe w/ the tokens I'm thinking it's similiar to the old pre-eoc duel areana/bh glitch.
