I don't really aprove.
Its a good idea but oh well
I guess it would help the site

 

I'll be honest, I don't see why anybody would care if their non custom user title was a different color.

Personally, I think it would make more sense if people could change their name to bold/underlined, or the color of it. I mean, showing off your "member" or "forum addict" title with a new font seems pretty pointless to me. Name seems much more attractive.

I'm going to PM Matthew/Sin/Finn and get them to have a look. 6 pages of pretty much supports including a couple of mods should be worthy of a opinion.

 

Then you should read mine above I still think that would be better.

 

I think it's reasonable, but the underlined and italicized part seems a bit trashy.

Just my opinion though.

 

You only get a custom username image after $200 of donations. You can't lower that to $5 or $25.

A very creative idea! If anything I could see why your post would humiliate the staff of this website. Although your idea is truly brilliant, it's quite obvious to most of us at sythe.org that they could have been taking a more creative stance in making money. This idea would progress sythe.org into the giving into their members wants. - which is opposing to why Jagex's game has failed so bad since andrew and rab created the game. Sythe.org is our sin city of the internet, fucking let it be Sythe.

We could start a stocking Andrew Gower forum rather than a stocking Sigex forum. Replacing it with videos of runescape players throwing bricks at Jagex HQ. Let the power-hungry WoWkids run the place while Sythe gets wealthy without doing a thing - that's the progression all business goes into.

This is possible but lots of work. Running vBulletin 3.6.x requires you to create completely new usergroups for this (unless you want to go back through and edit every single donation usergroup/user to fill their needs). It would be very time consuming and the return profits made from donations wouldn't increase any. Perks for donating are designed to attract more donations (i.e. ranks, titles, inbox space). Colors and text formatting wont draw any real change to the current flow of donations therefore all the time spent on it should be spent elsewhere.

 

80x80 is really small tbh.
