The thing is, that you need to understand, if someone is going to kill themselves, there's no real reason to try and stop them. They've made up their mind, and you can't change it.

Deal with it. You probably helped the situation, but even so... if he kills himself, it's what he wanted. Be happy for him, and sorry for the kid.
