Find an article about ecology that has been written in the past 6 months and answer the following questions:

1. What is the title of the article?
2. What is the web address?
3. When was it written?
4. A brief summary (3-4 sentences) of the article. Do NOT copy and paste or plagiarize the article.
5. How does this article relate to the information on ecology that we have been discussing in class? Use at least one vocabulary word in your response.
(i will do #5, but go ahead and guess if you want )

Thanks.

This article is about the recent oil spill in the gulf of Mexico, and how it has devastated the oyster fisheries which are of huge use economically to the region. Because there has never been an oil spill of this size in such an important fishing area, marine biologists are unsure of what effect the spill will ultimately have. However, the early signs are promising, at least for this particular species. As the biologists and fishermen travelled out into the Gulf, they began to find signs of a recovery in oyster stocks, even in some of the areas worst affected by the spill.

Will that do?

That looks great, but one thing, is that even ecology? I don't pay attention in class, correct me if im wrong, but im pretty sure that has nothing to do with ecology? or am i wrong?

" the environment as it relates to living organisms; "it changed the ecology of the island" "

The way I saw it, it was to do with the recovery of the ecological system after the oil spill.

And maybe you should pay a bit more attention in class >_<
