I'll keep this short and simple. I think that verifiers should tell the user that when verify a guide it might be posted in a thread so every guide verifier can see it.
I'm talking about the "Collection of Verified Guides" section in the guide sub-forum. I know that you're trying to stop plagiarism and what-not, but giving out free guides to all the verifiers without them knowing is just wrong:
Post all verified guides here. This will help see when people are plagiarizing and let us see a few guides :3.. - Tmoe
If you don't know what it is, don't just remove it like that. The link contains nothing that is 'important', just the post from the 'Private Guide' section. If I'm going to be banned for complaining on a pressing issue and showing the public that what I am stating is true, so be it. I don't know that they won't leak it, but they're essentially just giving it away to every other verifier and maybe just one of them might give it to a 'friend'. I would rather just have that whole section removed.

I just removed the link so other members wouldn't find the other stuff which has been leaked. I also certainly wouldn't have banned you, just removed the link the same way. I'm just saying another member was banned for posting the links so you need to be careful.

Could you link me to the user who was banned for posting a link to the 'Private Guide' forum? If he was banned for trying to warn the users about the safety of their methods, that is ridiculous.

It's not the Private Guide forum you were linking to, it was a leaked version which shouldn't be revealed to the Sythe community. It's called Private for a reason.

True, but the community should know that their guides are being given out, even when they tell other users that "No one else will see it" and that is what I'm trying to get across. The link would help the users understand what is actually going on and allow them to decide if they want to get their guide verified or not.
To be honest, it seems as if the rule for 5M/hr+ transfer methods having to be verified was put into place just for verifiers to get transfer methods. I know it was put to stop scammers, but it also seems as if they just wanted to get those guides for free.
Personally I didn't know that the verified guides are handed out to the staff. I think the staff should be a little more open with some stuff instead of hiding things behind closed doors. A bit more community transparency would be nice.

Not all staff have access to the private guide forums, although all selected Official Guide Verifiers do. These Verifiers were selected for a reason, they are trusted and respected for a reason, and we expect no-one to leak any guide after it has been verified. If any staff/OGV is found leaking ANY guide from the private guide forum then they will be banned for leaking.
The reason for the section is to stop people from getting the same guide verified/ripping other people's guide. We are VERY tight on which guides get verified, and normally more then 1 verifier sees the guide. We search the guide on Google and other Runescape cheating websites to make sure it's not being sold elsewhere without permission or it's already known by the public. These guides posted in the "Collection of Verified Guides" are usually re-verified after some time to make sure it's still not leaked on the web, if it is then the guide will be locked and the seller won't be allowed to sell it anymore.
If only 1 Verifier had access to the guide then it becomes difficult to verify the guide efficiently as I have found out in the past. I may have verified 1 or 2 guides which could be found on different websites, I hadn't noticed this and within a few hours of me posting it in the "Collection of Verified Guides" another OGV contacted me about it and the subsequent guide was not allowed to be sold.
As I've already stated, if ANY staff member or OGV are found leaking these guides even to friends then they will be banned. Although, if they buy the guide after they verify it with permission to re-sell then they may sell it elsewhere, this rarely happens.
This thread - "Collection of Verified Guides" has more positives then negatives and in my opinion is very important for any OGV/Staff member when they are verifying guides.
I see what you're saying, and I agree. I had someone verify my guide, and I thought, ah alright it's all good now I'll get buyers. 10 minutes later to find out another moderator had closed my thread because they thought my guide was too obvious. I only shared the guide to one staff member, not the whole community. <.<

I still believe that the Mods who are able to access and official guide verifiers should not be able to view all the verified guides. Sure you expect the users not to leak the guides but there are a few people who have access to that sub-forum that I personally do not trust and I don't wish them to view my guide. As the user above me has stated, I would like to have one person view it, not the whole community.
Yes, it may help with plagiarism but if your really did the research needed to be done you could easily find that it was plagiarized from another site. Verifiers should be 100% sure that the guide is the users and does not belong to anyone else. If they are not sure they should not verify the guide.
Debatable, Hahanerd, who runs a huge skilling website (see his signature), has access to the verified guide section. I fully expect that my transfer method guide (the fastest one currently available) that he verified will be used by him in his "gold services" (rs ultimate).
Fact is, I feel that transfer guides in particular should not be reposted in the official verified guide section (where the guides are viewable to the mods), and instead should be verified by one ADMIN who does not play runescape, such as Sythe himself.
Furthermore, I believe that if an official guide verifier uses the method written about in the guide, then that official guide verifier must buy the guide as well.

1. Not all guides are posted in the "Collection of Verified Guides" for obvious reasons. For example when Greg was selling his transfer guide he didn't post it in there because he knew there was several Mods/OGV's which have GP services and they may or may not use it. The same way your guide is not posted either.
2. Hahanerd doesn't run a Gold selling business, for your information the only OGV's/Mods that do are Plznate and myself. So when you're asking for it to be verified you're probably best to ask a Mod who doesn't play Runescape. The reason being completely understandable.
3. If ANY Mod/OGV is found using a method which they verified WITHOUT buying it or asking for permission to use it CAN be banned for leaking/ripping guides. Simple.
4. As I already pointed out, the reason for having the "Collection of Verified Guides" is not so that all the Mod/OGV's get the guides to themselves for free, it is because it's easier to keep track of guides ALREADY verified and if you have verified a guide other OGV's usually cross-reference it too.

1. I was told by Greg to send him a copy so that he could put it in the OGV section. I have no idea if or if not he posted it.
2. In his signature, rs ultimate, I see the word "gold." I apologize if I somehow misinterpreted that.
3. Thank your for clarifying that .
4. I completely agree with this, I was mainly concerned if OGV's could just use all guides posted there for free and if all guides were automatically posted.
Not to mention the guides are quickly patched (the few of them that actually do get verified). I verify guides with my account and never bother. I do not play RuneScape legit. If it cannot be done from a bot, I do not need it or want it.
