Welcome. You have made an account with the trial. You probably already have leveled a bit (level 20 is max). You can still do refer-a-friend, but not with that account, or that email address. If you still wish to pursue this (which I believe you definately should take advantage of.. wish I would have long ago), you still can.

Yea, just make a new account and make sure that someone sends you a referral.

I don't know where Sythe members play, but as my last post said, me, Gohan, and like 3 other people play on Shadowmoon (Bring me the Horizon). Also Verts still has her account on shadowmoon, and so does Finn, not sure about Pen. But I doubt they'll come back to WoW, or play on Shadowmoon (in Verts case)

 

Best bet is Shadowmoon. Everyone else is spread out within different realms, unless you try out the Sythe guild but I don't know if that's actually working out.

I would suggest just starting out with World of Warcraft Vanilla, which you can find for under $20, online or in stores.
