    Question about Bans?

Hello everyone, i have been fairly active on sythe since I joined a few months ago, and I am really enjoying the community. One thing I must inquire about though, i have noticed that alot of people with very high post counts, alot of trust, ect......guru's, grandmaster's, ect..... have been banned. Now I dont know how long ago they were banned because I have been browsing alot of older posts in my boredom, but still, it seems more caution would be taken before permanantly shutting down someone who put so much time into there accounts. What if anyone knows could they have done that was so bad that they were permanantly removed from sythe, taking all of there trust and status on here with them?

    Question about Bans?

A lot of them are banned for ban evading, trolling, leaking staff lounge material or hanging out with the wrong crowd. There isn't just one thing that you can fix to pin point out all the bad ones. The only thing you can really do to prevent some of these people scamming or doing a ban worthy thing is just keep good tabs on members and doing ip checks to see if they appear as a ban evader.

    Question about Bans?

As Bubba rightly pointed out, Scamming and Ban Evading are the main causes of bans. Here at Sythe, the rules are relatively strict and well enforced, if you so choose to break the rules, you probably won't get a second chance, the staff members take the rules very seriously, and violating such rules is probably not a path you want to go down (if you value your position here at Sythe).

    Question about Bans?

Scamming, Self-Vouching and Evasion are the largest causes of bans on Sythe, with staff and larger, respected members they are usually banned are banned for things like Leaking and immaturity as well as Scamming, etc. Just don't make any silly mistakes and attempt to stay legitimate during your time on Sythe.

If you have got a shady past, your best bet would be to appeal for a High Pardon. The staff will find out eventually.

    Question about Bans?

Thank you all for your incites, and I dont think ban-evading would apply to someone with so many posts (I was more aiming the question at why gurus and above get banned all of a sudden?). As for scamming, I just don't see why someone who has built up such a repertoire here at sythe would scam anyone, trading one quick paycheck for all of your hard work doesn't seem very sensible. As for leaking website information that you were trusted with given your status, that seems the only one I can think of that would be probable for our long-time highly trusted members to be banned. It still doesn't make sense to me, I've been fairly active and it took me awhile just to get to apprentice. I've been infracted once for too big of a siggy pic, but it got reversed as soon as I changed it. It seems fairly easy to stay away from the shady side of things, so it just confuses me when I see some grandmaster that has a BANNED tag under there name, like what could have went wrong??
any more comments or inputs would be appreciated, thanks guys!

    Question about Bans?

Sometimes a member scams during there early days of Sythe, before they build such a reputation, then are only caught later on.

    Question about Bans?

There are only 2 rules here at Sythe:

    1. Respect others
    2. Follow the rules

Thats the only requirements to stay here.

    Question about Bans?

Wow, you can get banned for trolling? IMO that's a stupid rule, but it would depend on how big the troll, etc.
