Moderators should never be trusted more anyone else, and there has been so many examples of this I will not even bother pointing any out. You are also applying your own personal set of "trusted" qualifications around, that are not official and have no meaning when it comes to the site and the way it operates.

In response to the first paragraph: What constitutes a PRO account is in the eyes of the beholder, just like trusted. However, if you are buying an account one would almost certainly know enough about the game to know if it is a good account. The trusted tag issue applies to a large amount of more people. As to the second paragraph: A new user may have enough common sense, but most do not. They get tricked into going first and get scammed very easily. Trusted is just another way people can trick new members into scams.

In regards to the censorship issue. I will admit it is censorship, but the staff has no problem with censorship at all. They censor loads of things, that harm no one, and in the end they just end up causing fights and unhappiness while gaining nothing. This is the one of the few cases that censorship should be employed, which is to help prevent scamming. It is a small step, as very few use the tag, but it could help. Anything that could help Sythe's image to become a site that has less scams should be done.

So you admit you are using it just to attract customers by actively manipulating them, even if believe what you say is true? Very moral.

New members do not have the common sense or knowledge to make these decisions. If no one looks at the tags, they are not helping the sellers and only potentially hurting the buyers and thus it is only logical to disallow them.

It's not immoral. If I was a Newcomer with absolutely no past trading history and put that title on my thread, then I'd be misleading. You need to understand that people use this website for business, myself included. People want other people to use their service, buy their account, etc. You obviously want views and attention towards your thread, and that's one way to do it.

Ranks such as, [Admin], [Highly Trusted], and so forth that are being used without the actual rank shouldn't be allowed.

    Should misleading titles be allowed?

I don't believe [Trusted] is a misleading title, unless you have [Highly Trusted].

But to answer your question, no, misleading titles should not be allowed, to an extent.

Most of the people who use the tag are not trusted at all (do a quick search). Many of the people have no vouches or joined the same month the thread was posted or are banned, etc. There is no way to draw the line between trusted and non-trusted so it must be one of the extremes. Allow the tag or disallow the tag. By the number of times this has been brought up, and the fact that it is mainly being used by non-trusted people and thus it is misleading, the not allowing it extreme should be taken for the safety of new members.

It's the person's decision to decide whether or not the person using the title is truly trusted or not. It's a risk they have to take. You need to look at past history, vouches, and all that good stuff. People use the [Trusted] title to attract viewers to their threads, and fortunately, it works. I see no wrong with it, unless you're using a Sythe rank which you don't have.

You are reiterating what others have said. The problem with it, as I have stated is that it can be easily used to assist in the scamming of new users, who Sythe desperately needs.
