96 Herblore or Full Torva?

Hi, I have a question for you guys out there. In your opinion which would be more beneficial, for short-term and long-term, 96 Herblore or Full Torva Armour. All opinions and help is welcomed! Thank you.

 

You could get 96 Herblore a few times with the cash you need for Torva.
So I'd still go with torva, the HP and other bonuses are really awesome.

Whenever I get the cash for full torva, I'd just buy Torva platebody, 96 Herblore and 95 Prayer.
Still have a good bonus from topwear, Ovls, Turm.

 

Well, I was just planning to buy the platebody and legs (733m total) and to get that money I would have to sell all my supplies for 96 herb and some more.

 

96 herblore is more beneficial in the long term, torva WILL lose It's value in time to come, if anything herblore will simply cost more, and more. It's best to get it out of the way THEN get the armor you want most.

 

Get 92 herblore and stew up for overloads if you're low on money.
96 herblore is better in the long run, lets you use ovl at places that are needed, where torva isn't used at (arma/sara/corp/TDs).

Go with herblore, THEN torva.

 

If your a good pker, torva takes out alot of Dhers.

 

Personally, I think you should get full Torva because it could help you achieve 96 Herblore.

 

How does this plan sound? If I bought Torva, and used it to earn money for 96 herblore. Then, once another double xp weekend comes around, I will be able to get 96 herblore for about half the price and if I don't have enough money, I can always sell the Torva.

 

That is a wonderful idea. Just do PvM or PvP.

Torva Platelegs: 390m

Total: 958m

 

Full Torva > Overloads, also especially if you already have extremes, if you Don't already have extremes maybe buy extremes first, then save for torva.

 

68-99 Herblore costs 180-200m making Def potions (cheapest).

Skills are always better than items and should be at the top of the list.

To be honest...I would get 96 herblore FIRST, but just wait till double xp weekend, then just save up for torva, because by the time double xp weekend comes, torva will have gone down a lot more than what it is.

 

Not sure how you compare the two monetarily, but Torva Plate/Legs/Helm is worth roughly 800m-1b whereas 99 herblore can cost as little as 150-200m.

I suggest ditching the torva helm for a neitiznot and spending the torva helm money on Overloads. Keep in mind if you've finished the Evil Dave bit of RFD you can always stew from 91 > 96 Herblore as opposed to getting 96 herblore. Or you can stop at 95 herblore and use greenman's ales to pot up to 96.

 

I never knew about the stewing I'm currently 90 Herblore and it's only costed me about 35M.
