[95 Prayer] Decent Price/Time?

Hey guys, I'm at 52 Prayer atm, aiming for 95 after I get a fair idea on how much I should spend on it.

What is the maximum you guys think I should spend on it?

I could alter 40K Infernal Ashes for 180M, or alter 165K Big Bones for 80M.

Not really sure what I should atler.

I know it depends on how much money I have to put into this, but I want your thoughts, not mine

But I Dragon Bone'd/Altar'd till 95 Prayer.

By the time you've used 125k extra bones you could've made 100m

 

Well consider it this way

40k infernal ashes is roughly 1/4 of 165k big bones

at the rate of about 700 bones per hour

infernals : 57 hours
Big Bones: 236 hours

and say you can make 1m an hour

The extra 179 hours you would of spent doing prayer you could have earned 179m so nearly the exact same spent but also getting xp in other skills

 

with frost drags it cost me 310m from level 70 and took me 2 days playing 10 hours a day

 

Its a shame how expensive prayer is nowadays..

Just a tip though - if you decide to go the infernal ashes route, you might as well go with dragon bones instead. Ashes give you slightly less exp, but are now basically the SAME price as dragon bones, whereas before they were a good 2k cheaper and were a fantastic alternative. Now they suck

 

any idea if i use those forsted d bone thingys?

 

I would use the ashes, much quicker which means you'll obviously get it done much, much quicker so you can go on to do other things and not spend hours using d bones.

 

Ashes actually give less experience than dragon bones, and therefore they would take longer.

The extra time that you would have to invest in training with ashes used to be worth all the money you save, but I checked the price a few weeks ago and infernal ashes are now 4200 each. They were 2000 each when I bought Turmoil. So really, your best bet nowadays is to just go with dragon bones which cost just slightly more per bone than infernal ashes, but give you 30 xp more each.
