So a while back I swapped accounts with this guy who later recovered his and he was banned on sythe. I had my email set and tried multiple times to recover back using the info he gave me and it failed. Today I receive an email saying that he wants the to change the registered email, I figure I should try and recover one more thing. I go to recover stolen password, all they ask is the email and code and BOOM its automatically accepted and recovered.

Just goes to show that scammers never win.

Im happy for you! thats nice that you have it back ;) i know the feeling i bought an account and it got hacked back.. but i got it back also since i had my email still on it! very nice! have fun playing on it again!
 
Nice what I would do if I were you goto jagex main site and send them a Email saying that you are being hassled and offended by this person and that they keep stealing your account. Be able to provide them with any CC numbers or pins that you used on the account if you can remember. Then they will send it to the account clean team and that account will be %100 for sure yours. Because the person that was on it before if they had used a cc on it they can easily get it back by contacting Jagex.

I had the same thing happen to me and I did those steps above and never had a problem since.

I had membership info that I used but I erased it all since all of my recovery appeals kept failing :( just have to wait and see what happens. It has 23 days of membership so it will probably be a recover battle then I will buy membership when it runs out and do what you suggested.
 
Same here, I just sent in my 6TH! Appeal today...I pray for it that I get it back.

its weird. I guess they just changed their policy that if u have a registered email you can recover right away whether its forgotten or stolen password.

They just ask for email and security code, without any other detail.

Where do I go for that? I do the "recover forgotten(3 tries here)" and "recover stolen(3 tries here)' With all email/recoveries/info/creation date/passwords"...Help?
 
congratulations on getting your account back, it is a very nice account, too :D

still trying to have my account unbanned. He was hacked, when i was away. Come back 2 days later, recover it and the account is perm banned for macroing and jagex impersonation. I keep telling them that i was not in control of the account at the time. normall they would look at the ip's and be able to unban it but apparently the ip's are to similar :'(

:/ Whatever, I sent in the appeal...Sad thing is- They havent changed the recoveries, so that makes me believe that something else happened, because...everything is the same...so I have no IDEA wtf is wrong =@

true. I was generally shocked because I first I sent in "forgotten" password just hoping there was a small chance it would work even if it didn't delete recoveries. When it just auto worked I was surprised. Then I sent in "stolen" password and it auto works + deleted his recoveries. I just lol'd at jagex's new system. This is great for new players but pretty awfully easy for black market people to abuse and scam.

I go to the thing, it says recover email. so It does that, then it says enter code. Do that then it tells me to put in all the damn info...FML! :'(

Here's my "message" at the bottom-
I'm gonna keep putting in the same info every-time! Just give it back to me, Look at the last 6 appeals I sent in, ALL OF IT IS THE SAME!!! Comeon JaGex. I pick you over in other game...Please don't let me down.
