    Job interview

I have a job interview in a few days - does anyone have good tips on how to do well aside from dressing? I'm going to wear a suit, tie, dress shoes, etc.

Depending on the place, you sound like your overdressing

Suit and tie are a bit too much imo, unless it's for like an office or corporate job.

    Some tips are:
Keep eye-contact with the person interviewing you.
    Don't chew gum
Make sure your handshake is firm (makes a good first impression)
Can't really help you with the questions, but I'm sure some people have great tips on youtube or you can probably find some through google.
You can send a thank you note/card (thanking them for taking time to interview you) after the interview, it will help you stand out, especially if they're interviewing a lot of people for the position.

    Job interview

My dad has always told me that you can never be overdressed but you can be underdressed. Maybe this is different for non corporate positions but I have stuck to it and it hasn't failed me yet. I'm applying for a managerial position at a local target. I have another job but I get bored during the day so figured I would try to get another job somewhere, lol. :p

You can never be over dressed, it's better to look smarter than to look scruffier.
I'll give some tips in the morning.
I'll give an important tip now though. Make sure your hand shake is firm, people with firm handshakes are usually more confident and it's a good first impression. :)

Turning up in a suit for a job in a small convenience store would be out of place would be overdressing dontt you think?

    This.

But be confident, and don't let the employer think that you're uncomfortable.

Always Dress professional for a interview regardless of the job position, Like said above you can never be over dressed but you can be under dressed very easily.

If it is a customer service type of position make sure that you express that you like helping people and sympathy is a HUGE thing :) anyways good luck

Also Bullshitting is very good as well ;) make a story up about when you helped someone with something, like teaching how to use a computer or something.

ofc :p I always have a firm handshake.

Its not a small convenience store and what is wrong with wearing a suit? You dress to impress, would you rather I wear jeans and a t shirt?
