I've finally turned 15 years old and I've been waiting to have the chance to be employed for years. I was offered a job at an Australian chain-supermarket (woolworths) and I knew there would be plenty of advantages including experience, a few bucks to buy clothes and gifts etc and 5% off groceries for mummy-dear
. However, today I found out I'd only be paid $7 ($6 USD) per hour with a crummy uniform and I'll probably be ridiculed by mates that often buy from there.
Should I take the job? Brendan W (an aussie friend of mine) makes much more than that at a clothing store and he's around my age. Unfortunately I won't be able to work in those for at least a while so I'm really not sure..
Also, do you work? If so, how much do you earn an hour (unless you regard this as private). Do you like the uniform? Are you on good terms with the boss?
