SytheClient 2.0

Hi, I've recently made the choice to further the development of SytheClient while I take my break from the Sythe staff. Anyway, I've made this thread to ask you guys if you like the current organization of the client (new windows within the client, etc) or if you'd like something like the following:

Of course, if the interface shown above were to be chosen for SytheClient 2.0, I'd make themes and such for it similarly to what I have in the current version of SytheClient. There will also be many more options, lots of images and colors, so it would basically look and feel like a regular client.

EDIT: DO NOT suggest I copy SwiftKit. I may be making a client, but it is going to be my own work, I refuse to copy someone else's.

If you mean the top set of tabs, then yes that's a possibility.

Ahh, could you add some extra features, or colors? The current one looks kinda, ehhh. Perhaps some way to search the RSOF faster (A QC slot?) I don't know of any client that has that.

 

You didn't read the whole thread. The picture is just an interface design.

 

I like the ideas but the design I don't really like (from both current version and this one). I would improve it's interface but the features itself are great already.

I love the way it currently is. I downloaded it a few weeks ago and the few times I've logged in it's been with SytheClient. Doesn't need any changes.

 

It's hard to make a decision when the top 3 poll options are tied

 

Choose the one you prefer. It has 4 votes and since the ammount of people that like the old one and the new one are the same you will make 8 guys happy (a lot more but that's just counting the ones that voted).

I love the one you just posted more than the current version.

The current version isn't visually appealing.

 

Thanks for the input everyone, what I've decided to do is to continue on the client from 2.0 onward in the style I've posted. For those who remain faithful to the first interface, I'll keep making bug fixes and provide help for it.

Here's a small timeline to give you all a better idea:
SytheClient history
Build 1 - "ARC", posted in RS General in 2009
Build 2 - Same interface as Swiftkit
Build 3 - MDI interface (0.3 to 1.06)
Build 4 - Interface posted in the OP

Build 3 will continue to receive critical updates, but no features will be added to it. From now on, all new features will be added to Build 4 instead.
