    Myspace

I'm aware it's basically completely dead, and that's the only reason I'm posting this (haha).

For a while there, I used myspace for promotional reasons. I managed promotions for a few bands, I started a clothing line through promotion on myspace and it is still running (we've switched over to facebook, although that fails in comparison as far as promotion goes), and I've used it to promote quite a few other things.

Some people may still see some 'light at the end of the tunnel' for myspace, and here is where I get to my point.

Previously, bands, companies, or people in general, would buy myspace accounts that had thousands of friends in order to use them for promotional reasons.

I have one account with a bit over 15k friends, another with 12.5k friends, and one with a bit over 80k friends. I'd like to know if anyone thinks there's any chance I could sell any of these, not that you personally would buy them, but possibly a price estimate if they're worth anything at all.

About 1-2 years ago, my 15k account could've sold for 100$+, however I was using it at the time. Do you think I could get anything at all now?

    Thanks! :p

Probably, but you would have a hard chance selling them here. xD

Ah, I figured so. I was thinking about trying eBay if I were to go for it, but I was seeing if anyone had any thoughts xD

    Thanks, though!

Keep it and sell bulletins instead. In the long run you'll make more money.

Instead of selling them, why not keep on using them to sell products?

I would continue using them to sell products, bulletins, promote, etc. However, basically no one pays now and it's seemingly useless because myspace is literally dead - the activity has plummeted, and a very small percentage of the users that used to frequent it log in more than once or twice a week now.

Why would you ever have 80K friends? Are you really popular or something?

Haha, I don't really use MySpace, I wouldn't know. But yeah, it used to be pretty good for promoting things. I still listen to some underground rappers and stuff on their MySpaces.

Haha, my 15k is my personal myspace - I have talked to a majority of those people. The 80k+ one is basically completely random.

Yeah, it was really good for promoting, but it's becoming useless now :/ IMO, Myspace is still far better than facebook for anything other than simplicity, but Facebook is where the people are now.

I have 8k friends on a myspace account that i never use. It is incredibly easy, i didn't even really have to do anything. Just put my thingo in an adding site and i used to get like 500 adds a day. Though when i got around 6,000 friends it slowed down to only getting 50 - 100 adds a day. But i'm just saying this because its hell easy to get lots of friends, i doubt anyone would pay much.

It's very easy to get to that amount, but anything past that takes some work - at about 10k, it gets hard. I know for a fact that a 15k account ran for about 100 bucks before, and an 80k+ would run for 300$+ :p

I'm just not sure they're worth anything now

Doubt you could sell them anywhere tbh.

Good luck if you attempt though.
