I would love to see the ability to vouche for gfx's, i take my time out of my day to do payed gfxing and I am not able to get vouched or vouche for it.
You get paid for it. Isn't that all that matters? If the trade goes through (which it most likely will due to watermarking the work) and the buyer is satisfied, there is nothing stopping the buyer from making future purchases. He can recommend you to other potential buyers.
You get paid for it, therefore there was some exchange of trust as someone had to go first, and thus warrants a vouch.
People get vouched for pin sales because Runescape Membership Pins are technically real items. They are buyable in-store, and there is nothing saying that the seller didn't buy the pin from a store and then resell it due to not needing it, however unlikely it may be. Pins have a set value, and as such can be used as a form of currency (ie: a pin is 1 month of RS membership). Graphics, on the other hand, differ in value and effort. It is very possible for one to just pull out MS Paint and draw a few scribbles and claim it is a signature.
Graphics aren't real items? There are entire corporations who operate off creating real graphics for real customers. Do you not understand the concept of printing? I realize it doesn't apply here but it doesn't allow you to be ignorant of this concept. Most graphic jobs are of equal or substantially more value to a Runescape pin. You can't say that just because something doesn't have a set value it can't warrant a vouch. In fact, something that doesn't have a set value should have a vouch just because it would allow said transaction to have more of a set value, get my drift? If someone scribbled something in MS Paint and sold it (which is really unlikely) and obtained a vouch for it, that vouch would be worth next to nothing. Similarly, I feel like vouches for pins are worth next to nothing. Four dollar vouch, whoop de fucking do. No matter what the vouch is for, when you're evaluating someone's vouches you should be checking out what they were for so you can size up what the vouches say about the user's reputation and trustworthiness.
People always say dont trust vouches they mean nothing if they are a scammer, if that is true then why not let us vouche for a gfx if it doesn't mean anything. Also you have to trust people in gfx trades hence why you water mark it.
If vouches mean nothing then why make such a big deal out of it? As you said, if people "always" say 'don't trust vouches they mean nothing' then why do you want them? What value does it have to you? You seem to be implying the majority of the Sythe community don't value vouches as a token of trust, and if that is the case, why request vouches for GFX?
If vouches don't mean anything, why not allow vouches for GFX?
/whoops.
As mentioned before, watermarking helps make GFX trades completely risk-free, which means it is not necessary to vouch the other party as it wasn't them trusting you which made the trade go through - it was the watermark.
Just because a trade is risk free means that vouches shouldn't be warranted? Firstly, that isn't true. Plenty can go wrong during a GFX trade. Secondly, using a decent MM with ANY trade essentially guarantees that the trade will go through safely (initially, at least).
So vouching would show trust as well...
Didn't you just say people always say don't trust vouches as they mean nothing? Didn't you just use that as the base of one of your arguments? >_< Contradicting yourself doesn't support your argument.
Using arbitrary arguments doesn't support your side too well either.
/whoops?
Others opinions on this if you are to lazy to look through
Why did you only list the opinions supporting your cause?
I understand that a lot of other services can be vouched which do not demonstrate the party is trustworthy, and I do not support them either.
