Ever since rare items (party hats, masks, santas, half-wines, etc.) became extremely expensive, and people got rich for doing no work, just holding onto their rare item, Fagex has tried hard not to create any more discontinued items. But they overlooked one item- the amulet of fury.

How is an amulet of fury a rare item you might ask?

Well that is simple, the only way for furys to enter the game is through buying an onyx in the TzHaar area. The Onyx costs 2,700,000 tokkul. If you gain 16,064 tokkul for killing jad, this would require you to kill jad 169 times. Even then, you would probably spend more money on supplies than what the actual Onyx is worth.

2,700,000 tokkul is extremely hard to acquire and would take a long amount of time to get. Presumably, the rate at which furies are leaving the game is GREATER than the rate that they are being entered into the game. They are leaving the game through pkers, people who die and dont get to their grave stone in time, etc. So the supply is going down.

When the supply goes down, the demand goes up, and so does the price. So I think if a merchanting clan were to hoard the shit out of these furies, they can make a lot of money.

This is just my theory, please leave feedback

Thats a good idea. I agree that the demand is going up and supply is going down. The only problem is getting a clan together that would do that.

yea, but you would have to hold them for quite sometime but then the price would reach onyx price and stop i think.

I think Jagex should just reduce the price back down to 270k, honestly. You already can't sell items to the Tzharr stores for tokkul, so I don't see why the price increased.

you get approx 90k tokkul an hour if you fight the TzHaar things.

So to say it's 2700k tokkul means it only takes approx 30 hours to get one.

thus being that you could be making about 600-700k/h just a rough mental estimate, by killing tzhaars, JUST from the tokkul. add on the items and you could make about 800-900k/h?

lemme just say that I haven't killed em in a while though.

they probably lowered the drop of tokkul, but when the onyx first changed to 2700k you could get 90k/hr in drops.

You get an average of 1k tokkul per kill.
90 kills/hour is not hard, that's three kills every two minutes.
On an account with appropriate melee gear and stats, one day 24/7ing could easily get you an oynx, which would be stupid, since the tokkul/coins rates of other items in the shop would get you more money than the oynx itself.

    All of this aside,
the rate at which they are leaving the game is greater than the rate at which they r being entered.

yeah, as if they weren't going up enough rofl. people aren't going to stop until they get their fury with an ornament kit. and sadly, the ornament kits probably will enter the economy as much as the furies >.<

Yes I've noticed that the fury went up almost 8 fold from this time last year, it was like 1.8m (sorry if I'm mistaken).

Then autofightering for tokkul would go up ridiculously. It would be like edge chaos druids.

I don't think they would make any item other than a holiday event item to be a discontinued item like the ones now.
