Display name?

So when you change your display name, your previous name becomes "also known as. . . "

Is there some way to change it to not say that? I've seen on some other thread that disscussed this same thing but now I have no clue nor can I remember the details. Can anyone let me know if this is possible or am I just talking out of my ass right now?

the way to make it not say last known as is to have that specific display name for 3+ months I'm pretty sure.

 

It isn't 3 months. It's only 30-35 days.

 

You can purposely change it to an offensive/reportable name. Once you do that, get friends (preferably mods) to report your name as offensive. If Jagex find your name to be offensive, you'll be forced to choose a different name and your last name will show up as # with a bunch of numbers after it.

Although, this method, if successful, can take up to a couple weeks to work.

 

When you change your name, you got to wait 2months until it becomes your original.

 

In 30-60 days that sign will disappear.

 

I personally will never change my name, but it usually takes 1 (sometimes 2) months before it disappears.

 

I think it took my account around 2 months for it to disappear.

 

It goes away after a while. Also I think if someone gets your previous name, it goes away.

 

It's only for 30 days.
