3 letter names?

[Tangled Webs]

I came across a few 3 letter names not being used in runescape. Some letters and numbers and others just full letters.

Is this rare? Even if its complete gibberish?
>_<

[Pekko]

Display names? I think they are rare.

Their rarity has significantly decreased with display names -
Unless these 3 letters form a word, name, etc. then they aren't very good.
Nonetheless, if you like one, go for it.

when jagex freed up all the names i got the name "wk" but i had to get it on my little brother acc cos i just got a name change >.<, but before they freed up all the names i saw 3 letter users as quite rare yes

[SIRIUS]

No, they're not rare if they're random letters. However, if they make some sort of word, that makes sense; then yes, it is rare.

Keep in mind that display names aren't as rare as original names.

[Awemni]

3letter names are not rare.

There not hard to find, just go to the prompt to change your display name and lightly hit your keyboard, delete stuff until its 3 characters, check if it works, repeat.
