The UE Section needs changing

I've suggested the same thing awhile back, and while it was never accepted nor denied, it was said that it was being discussed.

I still think to this day that there are way too many subsections and it should be simplified, if not completely restored back to it's original layout. [Though a simplified-version would probably work out better]

Anyways:
The new subforums are absolutely unnecessary, and very unattractive. I'm not suggesting we revert back to the previous layout, but I do suggest that we go much easier on the subforums. Here's what I'm thinking:

4 subforums, because it is obviously the "in-thing" for sythe at the moment.

Real-life (health, sports, etc.)
Virtual (internet, programs, tips, etc.)
Miscellaneous (Anything that doesn't fit in, or a mix of the two. For example, a guide on free chocolate, which involves both the computer and real-life.)
Approved (Guides that have been approved)

Obviously this would be modified to UE's liking, but that's just a general idea.

It would definitely bring down confusion and hopefully retain activity back into the section.

 

It's perfectly fine the way it is now.

 

I don't think this is needed.. You're not suggesting to change much, and it doesn't need changing.

 

It doesn't change that much, so I think that it isn't necessary.

The current way that the UE is set up was designed by me and agreed about by almost every single UE that we had at the time and approved by either Finn or Pen. It works much better than the old system and I think it is pretty good and doesn't need changing.

 

Things can change over time sure ALMOST every UE supported AT THE TIME but there minds can be changed just like everyone elses. I personally think it will help this section to become more organized but that's just my opinion.

 

Aproving guides would take too many time for the Globals or whoever verifies guides and I'd be basicly a waste of time, useless. But yes, the UE section does need some changing, and I also think that guides made by Admins-Globals shouldn't be stickied, only because they wrote them. It would also be very cool to add a "search guide" option. You'd find what you're looking for easier, plus there are many guides that nobody posted in them and they are at pages like 5-10, but they're still very good and helpful.

You are not a UE so you don't have any idea.

There are approved guides. Thats what the stickied guides are. Stickied guides instead of another section keeps it much more organized. To search the guides, use the forum search in what ever section you want.

Reducing the number of sections would just make that problem worse, and it would make the section LESS ORGANIZED.

 

Well as said above we don't really need to get rid of sections but possibly add more?

Perhaps a Sythe section for all guides that include that involve Sythe.
