What Keeps you at Sythe?

After viewing Sythe for almost a year and half, (using an old alias). I've finally decided to increase post count, by contributing much more.. I believe Sythe has a very mature community.

I started to ponder how it had become to me coming here so often, and to be fair, The conversations on this forum are very interesting, for example. Some topics I've seen in SFA are better than I have seen in other forums related to Philosophy, Ethics and other related subjects.

So i was wondering, What makes you return to Sythe after a visit?

 

The only reason I stay is for the community and my friends - if all of them left I would to, as there's no longer an incentive to stay.
Sure, having staff powers and priveliges is nice... but what good is it if you're no longer having any fun?

 

The ignorance and stupidity of others.

 

I enjoy the runescape discussions and helping others out.

Plus I usually lurk around the market, looking at random things

 

I don't really have a significant story to why I stay at Sythe because I just started posting today, but I like gaming and I like forums. Nuff said.

 

Friends, the Black Market, helping people out, and just the friendly community in general.

 

^that. Honestly I never posted / came here until I came into tinychat etc one day when I was bored and decided to come here. I got temp banned then saw a subject in the spam forum about tinychat.

I came in there and everyone was funny as hell so I started posting in the spam forum then eventually decided to come here frequently.

 

Friends, answering questions, assisting people, achieving stuff.
In short words; being a part of building a community.

 

but, surely the staff powers are more of a burden than a privilege? I know your doing it voluntarily but, I would presume its alot of work on such a big community.

 

I love the community. And steam section . and i dont think its that hard for the mods like you say. But they do a good job

 

Yes, they do.
But IDK, it'd be interesting to see what' it'd be like to moderate a huge community like this, I've only ever done small Private Server communities

 

the reasons why i stay at sythe are, efffing scammers, friends, trying to earn some cash, awesome site for cheating.

I' personally, believe that they'd be a reason to not come here, its a main reason i've always avoided being active here, and ever buying something from here :/

 

I could not agree more. Sythe has a lot of very intelligent and cool members. So I stick around because I enjoy the conversations.

 

I think he means catching the scammers. Not coming to the site because there ARE scammers, lol.

I come to the site because of the friends I've made within the community as well as my staff role/helping people out.

 

The community, helping people out and my friends. Almost same as Alteranz. No other reason to keep coming back.

 

:') I think i could learn something new that is interesting everyday from Sythe.

AH, that makes more sense..

And Pretty valid reason Maybe Friends do have a very large affect of how we use up our free time, IRL and on the internet..

 

im new, but it seems very nice here thats why i return i really like it.
