This EX can also be found in the above picture. I was infracted for "Deliberately wasting staff time." Thread can be found here.. Quite frankly, I'm not going to lie. The person I reported had something against me, and I had something against him. In return, I "went after him."
I reported him for saying "faggot." Yes, it might not of been the best report, but it didn't deserve an infraction. He could of just closed it.

Yes, it was a "joke." That's how I took it at first anyway.. Then, I realized you had the intention of me having it there forever.


You ask, well, why wait till now? Frankly, infractions came up in Skype and then I mentioned this. Then I got comments such as "wow, really?", "that's retarded", etc.
I then realized how much this truly shows someone's character on such a small act so I decided to share it with the rest of the community.

Don't get me wrong, you are still a great mod and do help out your share a people, but such acts is just ignorant...

I'm pretty sure you just felt like acting pissy because you took your boyscout badge too seriously like usual and used it against tmoe.


I'm pretty sure you dislike tmoe as well so don't turn yourself into the victim here. You abused your power against him and that's blatantly obvious. You have a hidden dislike for a lot of people and that's clear.

And as a sidenote, Tmoe has apparently requested the temporary ban.

 

Tyro is one of my favorite (not that my opinion really means anything) moderators just because of the "above and beyond" things I've personally seen him do.

This is not to say other staff have not taken extra time to also contribute to the community, but I guess I've had great experiences with Tyro and continue to see him consistently do a great job.

I don't know the circumstances of this particular situation, so I can't judge, but honestly, in the grand scheme of things, why are these sort of threads necessary. He's a great guy, and even if it's not good to hide things, It's not positive to point out his personal character flaws - in public at least. I'm sure he's the kind of guy who would correct something like this instantly if you contacted him about it.

Oh and @1234567ASDF On the subject of having personal vendettas...

EDIT: Tmoe if you do happen to read this, I'm not sure what to do about your thread graphics. I'll continue to make them at your request, but I'm putting a hold on them for now, considering the circumstances.

I believe what Hahanerd said was something along the lines of the user needs a special thing to log onto their staff accounts (which me probably couldn't do on his iPod\Phone).

Anyway:
The first infraction does look like a joke, given the reason listed and the fact that staff can't decide to give "perpetual infractions;" granted, he should have reversed it himself. That said, mods technically shouldn't play with infractions; between friends, it's not really drastic abuse, though. I've given out a couple fake infractions too (mostly to TJ).

On "wasting the staff's time," staff members actually do have the right to infract reports for that reason. The infraction system does not exist for personal vendettas, and if you created a report just to get back at him, it does amount to abusing the infraction system - but on your part, not Tyro's.

Apparently I received an infraction for Fag & faggotry by verts.... So his report was warranted.

 

Maybe you should pm him about it and not bring it up in public.

It will expire eventually so I dont care really. Was just trying to add to this thread saying that faggot may be reportable as I have received an infraction from it myself, in no way am I trying to dispute it was just simply stating it.

You're dramatizing the situation and I expect it's because you were encouraged to do so by the Skype crew. (This isn't characteristic of you at all).

Tyro shouldn't really be messing around with infractions (and he probably knows that), but it's a very minor misdemeanour. Your report was also pretty stupid (but borderline) and the infraction (just) warranted.

Let's all just be friends and stop dramatising situations that, at best, require a polite PM to an Admin. to look into.
