Okay I need help with a problem I have. I am 17 years old, turning 18 this august, and I have one little problem. I am about 5'5/163 cm of height.
As a kid, I didn't drink much milk, I only drank milk at about 0-4 years old. Then after that I drank milk from 7-10 only twice a week. From 10-now I haven't drank any milk, I have started drinking milk now and I drink atleast a glass a day, if not two. Now here is where I need your help. I was thinking of taking Calcium pills, for the eight years that I consumed zero milk. I talked to my mom, she said I could stuntmy growth. I talked to some of my friends, which happen to be basketball players/overall good athletes and they said that taking calcium pills would help me grow. Now, this is where I really need your help! I asked my mom to go get some for me, it took her about two weeks to actually go get them. She comes back and tells me that she talked to the pharmacy person and said that I had to make a doctor's appointment because she said sh was right, that it will stunt my growth and that it will not be good for me to consume calcium. Now, I don't trust my mother one bit with this stuff, she doesn't know a thing about nutrition, so sythe, is it good for me to take Calcium pills to make up for all those years? should I just stick to drinking milk every day? Is there any other ways that could help me grow? Thanks for your help.
P.S: I was informed that you grow until you're 25, some others said 20, some said 18. Can someone verify any of these? thanks a bunch.

I am 6'4 and never ever drink milk, i hate the taste of it. I also used to be allergic to it when i was a kid, so i never drank it then either. You can't drink milk now to 'make up' for the lack of drinking milk earlier. But i did a bit of research on it a while ago and it said drinking milk isn't actually that neccessary. So, i'd suggest not bother taking calcium pills.

Everyone that I asked has told me that drinking milk helps you grow, I know some guy that's like 6'5 and he drinks like 2 bags of milk a day.

Mainly genetics mate, if your genes don't allow it, you won't have much luck, you might grow and inch or 2 max until 25.

Alright, thanks for the help everyone. My dad is like 6'0 and my mom is like 5'5 by the way. My dad's side of the family all say that I will grow. But my mom insists that I wont lol.

if you're dad is 6'0 theres a high chance you will, maybe you haven't hit your spurt yet. my dad grew 5 inches the year he had uni at 19, he was a latecomer.

That's cool, thanks for giving me hope lol :). And I have facial hair and body hair, I have hit puberty, so that's not an issue.

Don't worry, your dad is 6.0
You're yet to reach your height -

My grandma told me about this like Chinese Remedy that will help me grow a few more inches..

I stopped growing cause of squatting a lot of weight. :s

Calcium makes strong bones. Growing/height is mainly genetics...I don't know anyway to "train" to get taller.
