Help please!

Hi,


Bascially me and a few people are making a band, I do not know one of the people and I find it hard to sing around people. Can anyone help me build some confidence?

If you can't sing infront of 1 person, who is in your band. How are you going to sing infront of a crowd, if you become popular.

 

Its because I don't really know one of the guys and I've never been in a band before its gunna be difficult...

I know you say about singing in front of a crowd but after I've got past the stage of getting used to it I'll be alright...

Just grow some balls, Mavies, and sing that shit out loud! I believe in you.
Do good and they will like you. Just don't give a fuck, you have nothing to lose. Think about it.

keep going bigger so u keep getting more confidence.

I find it much easier speaking on a scene in front of alot of people instead of just a few. When it's on a scene, there's like a marked difference between you and the audience.

 

Confidence comes with a STRONG ego. Really, all I can suggest if that you need to suck it up for a brief 3-4 minutes, and sing. You should find this good, if you can conquer getting over the fear infront of a stranger, it's a start for when you go infront of 50+ people, and sing! Try to build your confidence as much as you can before singing, pretend if he's not there.

Also, seeing as you're stuck with him (since he's a band member) I suggest you try and get to know him, strike a conversation, find his personality likes/dislikes, and attempt to know him!

Just have to be a man and give it a try. When I get really nervous before something like a snowboard race I find it helps a lot to meditate for a few minutes (just breathe deeply and don't think too hard), it calms me down a lot and makes me not worry.
