76k trick, can someone explain?

I've searched, and looked at stickies, but I can't find an explanation.

Can someone explain it fully, how EP effects it, and if it can still be done with two people, or if it needs three? I don't know much about it at all.

Can someone explain what EP is also? And how it is gained?

 

i would like to know this aswell as i heard its been fixed then i heard the fix didnt actually effect it.

Well, in simple terms....
carrying 26k/76k will "allow" you to drop items of value when you die.
EP is gained by risking 26k/76k in members while in the wilderness or a "non safe spot". The higher it is the higher chance of you getting better items, even though there has been instances where people get great drops at very very low EP.

On topic: It can't be done with 2 people anymore, if you've killed that person or have been kileld by that person recently, your loot iwll be reduced significantly [im not sure how long it takes before you can kill them again]

Three people go to a bank. Player 1 kills player 2, player 2 kills player 3, player 3 kills player 1, then for 2nd time go backwards.

EP works as points towards an item. With 76k the killer would earn loot and lose about 30% of their ep. If the killer pked something like d boots, something valuable, they would lose around 50% ep.

 

So it still makes sense to gain EP?

 

EP stands for Earned Potential. Every 30 minutes you sit in a "Hot Spot" on a Runescape PvP or Bounty Hunter world, you earn 25 EP. A "Hot Spot" is a skull in the bottom right corner of your screen with flames on it. The higher EP you have, the greater drop you will get. You need to be risking at least 76k in order to raise your EP on members worlds. In free worlds, you only need to be risking 26k. Money is much easier to earn in members worlds. The EP raising won't work if you arn't risking how much you need to in one of the types of worlds.

Once you've raised your EP to whatever you want it as, you find a partner, or just go PKing. He has to be risking at least 76k or 26k in free worlds too. If he's not, you won't get a decent drop.

just fight 76k isnt profitable since it got patched..
