    You can test gravity.

    What is real?

You can do both, I can feel gravity's pull right now. Think about it.

    What is real?

If you can't see something, is it still there?

What's it feel like? The perception of heavyness is simply a result of your body automatically using it's muscles to pull against it. Can you contain some of this gravity in a jar? You aren't physically feeling it as you say. If you are then is it cold or hot? Rough or smooth? Please tell me. I want to know.

How do I know the green I see is the same green you see? Maybe your green is red to me.

These kind of questions can't be answered, but it's certainly interesting to ponder on them. To me, a question like this is in the same category as the above.

    What is real?

If a tree falls in the woods and no-one hears it, does it still make a sound?

Of course it does, provided the tree fell in the normal manner.

So one can reasonably assume that if something is shielded from view it is still there, but rather if it is removed from it's position it is not there.

Nothing is real! We are all inside a program designed by a creator to amuse himself, there are some that can bend our reality at will. Everytime you have a Deja vu that's them fucking with our world again.

Actually, the correct answer to that one would be no it doesn't make a sound. Our realities are constructed in our heads. The universe is what we perceive it to be. The only reason there are sounds and colors in the world is because that's what we name them, we have the image of them in our heads. If a star explodes in a distant galaxy, and no one knows about it, then things go on regularly, and no one has that picture of the exploding star in their head, and no one can add it to their perception of the world. And since the universe is simply our perception to what we see sound and hear, etc. then that exploding start simply doesn't exist. It's a hard concept to understand but this video does a good job of explaining it:

Then your view is invalid. We may not see the same colour, but we do see a colour, else we wouldn't be able to categorize them, like you just did, without becoming confused.

    It's like a blackhole.

You can't see it, because it's absolute black. [Disclaimer- You know it's there from the reflection of darkness in contrast to the reflection of light, or something like that.]

This, on the other hand, isn't questioning whether or not we see the same, as opposed to whether or not we actually see.

You can reasonably assume that the tree did not make a noise, given the situation of the argument, as opposed to reasonably assuming that the tree did make a noise.

If it's impossible to prove such a notion, it would be as equally either rational/irrational to believe both. I do, however, use both rational AND irrational, as such a belief, either way, is indeed irrational.

So, what you're saying is, when we see it, we register it, and then it becomes a part of the universe we categorize as real?

Semantics are not a part of this discussion. It doesn't matter what you call it. Green is generally accepted as electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength of 495–570 nm and a frequency of 526–606 THz. (source: Wikipedia)

That doesn't change if you decide to call it wazkeh.

Oh, it's not just what I'm saying, it's what quantum physics is saying.

Actually you are physically feeling it. Go to the moon and you will feel a difference in gravity. You can also jump up and down to feel the effect of gravity. But here are some things to keep you busy when Im not on. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravity#Anomalies_and_discrepancies
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newton's_law_of_universal_gravitation
And you should probably read up more on this guy - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaac_newton before you start questioning his theories. Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean its not there. Its like having a person stand behind you, just because you can't see that person doesn't mean they aren't there.

Maybe I didn't use the correct term. Can you take some of this gravity and put it in a jar and examine it? Can you extract gravity by physical means? Of course not, all we know is that it's there and that it's what keeps us on the ground. It affects us physically yet it is not physical itself.

Whoa, thanks for the educashin bro!

And when did I say gravity wasn't there lmfao...

    What is real?

Sound is the sensation stimulated in the organs of hearing vibrations in the air or other mediums.

    No ear/organs/instruments = no sound

    What is real?

How can you reasonably conclude that the decision making process of your brain is universal?

2 + 2 = 5. For us, this is impossible, 2 + 2 != 5. However, how can we assert to explain the laws of the real universe when our perceptions are the only thing we have.

The tree does not make a sound, if no one is around to hear it, as there is no sound without someone to interpret the sound. However, most living creatures and insects can hear and feel vibrations, so for them it might. The saying would be better as...

If a tree falls on another planet where there is no life that can interpret sound or vibrations, does it make a sound?

The obvious answer is no, as sound is not universal, it is merely an interpretation our brain makes based on external stimuli interacting with our senses.

    What is real?

No, sound is vibrations. The tree will still cause vibrations in the air and ground if noone is there to interpret them.

That's like saying that a lamp stops making light if you leave the room.

    You can also feel radiation.
