This is a horrible suggestion.

I understand where you are coming from, but this isn't going to stop the scammers and spammers. If you think someone can code a bot to spam everyone on Sythe 5 people at a time and not be able to code a bot that registers and waits a week before doing the same thing, it's time to open up your eyes.

It's clear to me that you've had some bad experiences and are now stereotyping every new member as either a spammer or a scammer. How can you say that a "real legit member" won't be bothered by a 7 day waiting period?

What you're suggesting is crude, inefficient, and unnecessary. Do your part in reporting the spammers and scammers and trust the mods to get rid of them.

 

This would encourage scammers/spammers creating many accounts (like 100) and a week later they would have 100 accounts ready for use.

Scammers will always come to Sythe and you just have to use your common sense. If someone adds you on MSN but then says:

Don't worry, I bought from another person.

Tell them to delete their post or you will report them as spam. I hate people who just find any topic to post anything to get their post count up.

 

Dang, you sir have some issues being so rude about someones suggestion. I am new to this site. Trying to be legit but get denied I kind of support this but then I do not.

So half half on the whole idea.

i agree and support, i have had many leechers in my time saying "i offer blahblah" then they never post and i ask them but they say they changed their minds, which really annoys me and wastes my time

I think it will push away future legit members more than stop scammers/spammers. If your out to scam $100, do you really think waiting a week without doing a single thing is really gonna stop them? No

I would suggest just ip ban that person that keeps advertising and spamming so when they do get banned they cant make another account.

 

Also people may just get bored if they couldn't post or do much and then they would leave sythe and the community could get smaller from that.
