@Frequent Gold Buyers

I've had a question to ask for quite some time now that I've never got around to. If you're a frequent gold buyer meaning you buy gold for your own use and generally don't resell it. What do you do with your gold? What makes you comeback for more?

 

I've always had this question too, interested in the answer. I know some stake it, I guess some use it on buyable skills, but I've never seen how there is such a demand for rsgp knowing how much goes into the rwt market.

 

Staking and hording is one big problem of mine, I also love to PK and use it on prayer and some skills that only take the cost of money.

 

I have a lot of friends that do this and they primarily use it to fund new accounts they make/stake away their bank lol.

 

Buyables or any form of anything on RuneScape that takes monkey. Gear to boss, pk, etc. A lot of the more fun things take a fair bit of gp.

 

buying gear. people always want to upgrade their gear. weather it be bandos well now they want armadyl and their bandos so they buy more coins... now they want acb and an ags.. its all about upgrading.

 

Probably gambling..

 

Buyable skills, Staking, Pking and just the dream gear i want.

 

Generally I use my money to buy stats the fastest possible way. I'll be honest, I hate grinding on this game, but I really like pking. So for example, at the moment the best way for me to train range to 94 is cannonballs and then blowpipe and cballs so I've put a lot of money into that.

Other things I buy with the money are a lot of pk supplies and regears and any item deemed essential on a pure like fury/b ring/tyran ring.

I also like to have a large cash stack on hand in case I want to buy something like fifa coins, private server gp or runescape questing/training.

Finally I like to have a large cash stack on hand to take advantage of the grand exchange market. For example, I bought raw sharks when they dropped, and I bought a lot of red chins when they dropped. Sure, I don't need to flip or merch, but free money never hurts!

staking/gambling from what i've seen. i know people who've spent many tens of thousands of dollars on rsgp :s

 

that's crazy...

I can't justify spending a downpayment on RS... Then again if you value the time we all spend on sythe/rsps/rs, i suppose it's just as valuable.


OT: i'd say primarily staking...

 

I would assume staking, I am questing to make enough funds to stake it all I enjoy the possibility of turning nothing into billions (done it b4 and have the mentality i will do it again although cleaned too many times to count in the process). I however do not buy gold but i do return to the game just to make gold to stake it away.

 

well most of the people i know buy the gold to stake or cash it in a runescape gambling site. Only a quite few of them use it for skilling and gaining xp

 

Gambling leads the way with what most do. Especially on rsps. People who buy continue to buy because of this.

 

Though I don't buy gold as frequently as I used to anymore, I always used it to buy gear and supplies. But, I have to agree with others, it's primarily stakers.

 

Stakers are like gamblers, majority of them often loose and are willing to win back their money, but end up with nothing and then buy rsgp. So probably stakers take biggest part of buying market

 

Mostly to pay for people to level my account or to enjoy the game and buy the equipment I want to play around with.

 

I used to buy gold for personal use, probably exceeded $10,000 in purchases over the years. $50 here, $100 there, maybe a $300 after Christmas, that kind of thing. It all adds up.

I used it for the kinds of things you'd expect. Advancing my account, so buyable stats and keeping myself in the best gear. Some staking or dicing, banking some dream items.

During those times half my day was spent playing Runescape, so it makes sense that I spent a fair bit on it.

 

Oh god. Within the last 3 months i've probably bought close to 600mil in gold. Currently i have 100mil. The 500mil went to only god knows..... Mostly slayer supplies, skilling supplies etc etc.

Also, i don't stake or gamble and only have 1 account, sigh.... i need to stop buying gold but cannonballs are so expensive lol.
