I plan on getting Windows 7 but am unsure on which copy Is the most appropriate, my choices are:

WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE OFFICIAL MSDN

and

WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE OFFICIAL RTM

both are available in x86 or x64

No idea what the differences are and no idea what they do lol if this helps here is my shit.

Mainboard: Gigabyte EP45-DQ6 - LINK http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ClassValue=Motherboard&ProductID=2831&ProductName=GA-EP45-DQ6

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200
4MB shared L22 2.33 GHz 1333 MHz

Memory: 2X Kingston 2048MB Max bandwidth PC2-6400 (400MHz)

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB

If any other information is required just let me know. Thanks in advance.

get official msdn. also on a side not i would recomend buying some faster ram eg. 800mhz as it will help with overall system proformance

I'ld stick with 32 bit, as it is sometimes hard to find the 64-bit software.

wrong. you have 4gb of ram. get 64 bit otherwise only around 3gb will be used. ive been using 64 bit operating systems for over 2 years and have only found 1 program that didn't work, and that program is simcity 2000, made in 1993.

yeah, i made the mistake of downloading windows 7 32 bit and my ram got limited, now downloading 64 bit >.<

I have Ultimate x86 (RTM), works great, although I only have 1GB of ram on this machine.

alright thanks for all your opinions and help looks like i'll get the msdn and 64 bit.

Get the MSDN one. Get x64 (64-bit).
There's no reason to not use x64 if your computer supports it.

yeah im limited to 3.5 gig of ram or something out of the 4. so prolly a 64-bit.
