District 9

I watched District 9 last night, and it was an amazing movie. This thread is for any of the other crazy people here that saw it during opening. I want to discuss all of the possible scenarios for Disctrict 10, which is obviously hinted there will be during the ending.

1. The aliens come back, want to get revenge on the human race, so their is some sort of war. The man who became an alien plays the middleman and has to control the war. He gets changed back to normal, and lives happily ever after.

 

it sucked.. they tried to make a cockroach looking alien look sad and innocent and it was only OK the last 20-30 minutes.. what the fuck was amazing about it?

 

Well, I was downloading it but since everyone is saying it wasn't good I doubt I will continue.

 

I saw it like at midnight the day before it came out. AMAZING, I couldn't belive it was only 14A

But it is SUCH a good movie, i recomend it to everyone, also one of the weirdest movies i have ever seen. But otherwise amazing.

 

Don't give it away. But yeah it looks tight on the commercials I want to see it.

 

I got in for free but if i would have payed it would have been worth the money. Hands down

 

I sort of wanted to see it, but it seems too science fiction for me. If you're into that, I bet it'll be a great movie for you.

 

I enjoyed the story line and I thought it did exactly what it was supposed to do. I also like how it portrayed the South African apartheid. Anyhow, the two friends I went with disliked it, as well as a couple people sitting around me - I just like to believe that they have no taste.

 

It was a fairly obvious plot, in my opinion. If the aliens come back I don't think it'd be in a violent return due to the compassion the transformed man showed to the prawns near the end.

If they wanted to rebel bad enough 1.8 million prawn with alien technology could of probably taken down all of South Africa.

It was ABSOLUTELY horrible. Shitty acting, bad effects, looked more like a documetory. Story line was poorly thought out too. You could predict everything that was going to happen.

 

The movie was amazing. I loved the comedy, along with the action. Although i thought the main character cursed WAY too much for his own good. I think there will be another movie; where the prawn will return. And the main character who was formed into the prawn will be leading the earthling prawns for the big escape.

 

Lies and Slander. Effects were good, Story line was great. Acting could've been better though
