This thread is on behalf of the User Education and the laziness of the members.

• Keep high standards, don't let your standards slip. If you think you can do 5 good guides, get in and slack off. Think again.
• Try to keep friendly with all the other User Educators, and don't question the Head User Educators.
• As long as you stay positive around the forums, and don't act like an ass, you will be fine.
  

  • All User Educators are required to help 3 people a week in the Help and Requests section and critique 2 guides.

What are User Educators here for when the hardly to never help people?

Where have the UE members been? What have they been up to? Let me show you.

These images consist of

- Imxtoeknee
- SuF
- Sindrefyrn
- Straggler

Those who are not included in these images are the ones who are medium to minimum in activity and helping people.

The people in these images are the last time they have helped someone or the last post of where they did not help.

Although Straggler has made a recent guide on GIF's his activity is very minimum, as for helping its close to none.

SuF I could not find any help for on the first page of his posts so I stopped there seeing as how his week of not helping was invalid.

Imxtoeknee helped someone, but it was on the 21 and it was a repititon of what someone had said.

Sindrefyrn, his last 'sorta' help reply was in User Education.

I did not list Pen on here due to the fact that he is an Admin, but should that really matter? Inactivity is inactivity.

Now these are the two main sections that the User Education team should be helping in;

Help & Request;

Tech Support;

Now in Help and Request it appears that they are helping quite a bit. However, if you look their posts are useless repetitions that people have already posted.

Those who have been active -

- Heavenlord (very minimum)
- Venom1

These are the only 4 that have been active when they are required to be active, and are there to help when people are in need of assistance.

There are 10 user education members yet 4 are active?

There are 3 current HUE's, why? They appear to be doing nothing. I understand Venom has just became HUE and still has time to show what he is capable of, R33l2r3al does a ok job but what need is there for Pen?

Is it honestly necessary to have 3 HUE's?

User Education is getting lazier and sloppier by the day and something needs to be done with it.

Huh, should have told Robert to update that, we stopped using the weekly requirements before you even joined sythe. The stickies need to be changed, however I do agree with you that some user educators either need to step it up or leave.

Some "abuse" their rank, i'm not going into names, but thets say they act like they own the place >_>


I know a few people who are very worthy of UE, and they are not being given the chance, i see it as you don't like people in your group.

Just because you are trying to get in doesn't mean you have to stand up for them.

They are a rank within a rank, helping no one but eachother.

I'm not sure, I disagreed with the change in the first place anyways. I'll let r33l or someone else explain there reasoning.

There are very few of you whom actually do help people (4). Other then that, UE members are only helping each other.

I recommend you looking on the dates before you post the link.

It doesn't matter to me when they posted. If the thread is on the first page and a UE posted in it, then that's more than the 2 you included in your screenshot.

Well, I'm not sure. I'm supposed to not be online, but I have been for 18-19 hours a day still. I'm ignoring shit in my real life, and I really shouldn't be. However, it's not our responsibility to let all of Sythe.org know that we're out or having issues.

And as stated as a general rule. If the user becauses inactive, they will be removed from the section. So, once we know that said user has returned from their 'vacation', or whatever it may be, and still inactive, they will most likely be removed.

If you have an issues with one of the current UE's, then I would suggest PM'ing an HUE regarding it.

Also, what is the relevance of the Tech Support picture? UE's are supposed to not only help out in their section, but elsewhere. However, if the questions are already answered by you P), or it is not something we are able to answer, then why must we bother to do so?

You can't honestly expect for someone to say they're going on vacation and never to touch a computer. 9 times out of 10 there will be availability to a computer where you're staying, and they jumped on Sythe for a few.

If the are on vacation they are obviously having access to a computer if they are using MSN or posting in different sections.

So the only thing UE's do are help once a month and vote on peoples application to make the group of people who don't do shit bigger?

Yea people do that all the time in those sections, i know this post is pretty irrelevant to the main subject, but it bothers me that you'll see 2-5 people posting the exact same sentence in different wording, and IMO should receive an infraction for it.

Basically to sum up a couple of points.

1. There is inactivity to a degree and it is being looked at I assure you. There are a number of UE's out of town currently. We are aware of their absence and it is excused.
2. We are looking at ways to improve activity and spread the UE further to those deserving of the rank.
3. Those stickies are outdated (I thought I updated most of them I guess I missed a few). I'll get working on those as soon as I can.
4. Pen is HUE because User Education is his side project. Basically if anything needs approval from an admin, it must go through him.

Agreed. Also, the UE gets the attention it needs, but since it's summertime, things seem to be going a little bit more slowly.

With Venom has a new HUE, I'm certain that things will be getting back on track, and I'm hoping to have more additions to the team.

And about being active in H&R, etc. It's not the only place UE's help out. I help around the website ALL DAY LONG, and over MSN / IRC as requested. Around 18-19 hours a day, so that's where my activity can really be seen. Just because I don't post in the H&R doesn't mean I'm not active or being helpful.

And yes, I know I'm on the active list, but I wanted to point out that not all UE's only help out in that section, but elsewhere too. SuF does just because he's a Mod. Whatever he does in his own sections is considered help to another user, and ties with his rank as well.

They want to make it look like they are doing something by stating the obvious.

So the new sticky is going to be similar to; UE's, you don't have to help people just copy what another person said and post it to make it look like your helping someone. You don't have to make guides because teaching people new things is overrated.

I'm apart of this community as you, R33l, SuF, etc.

UE is in our community hence making it all of our problems.

Plus I'm tired of UE's saying they do so much work in UE when we all know only but a few actually do something.
