The moon exists.

I remember in an episode of Mythbusters, they tried to check to see if man had ever been to the moon. Apparently some things were left on top of the moon as man arrived. Not only did they put a flag down, but they put some sort of receptor on the moon as well.

The Mythbuster Team went to a woman that had an extremely powerful laser, and began to shoot the laser at the moon, and soon enough, she struck gold, and the receptor on the moon sent the laser right back to her.

Also, they tested gravity, to verify how it felt to walk on the moon, and discovered that the way man had walked on the moon was absolutely efficient for the amount of gravity existant.

The moon clearly exists. Astronauts have set foot on the moon. I do not, however, claim that I am able to prove this (see my "prove to me that Africa exists and I will give you $5" thread).

My point is that nothing can be proven to someone who doesn't have an open mind. The thread shows that, while rational arguments can be presented, they can be discarded irrationally because rationality is subject to asinine interpretation.

The moon landing could have been faked, that's true. I, however, have evidence otherwise, which means I can substantiate the claim that the moon landing was real. People who support the moon hoax theory have no evidence whatsoever, and believing in something with so much perpendicular evidence and no supporting evidence is deranged.

I would love to see this evidence.

The major problem with the moon landings, which is yet to be well explained, is: Why hasn't anyone else put a human being on the moon? Why only NASA, and why 40 years ago, when technology was so rubbish that chances of survival were estimated at something like less than 1/10th of one percent.

Everyone got robots to the moon, including the soviets. So there is no reason there wouldn't be stuff on the moon, even a lander and a flag perhaps. The question remains: against insurmountable odds, that no one else has managed to overcome in 40 years of trying; Using infinitely inferior technology, how did NASA send people to the moon 6 times without major mishap? And why haven't they returned since?

There are currently tourism trips to the moon in development. Sweden plans on releasing them by 2010 but it'll probably be by 2012, they'll be a solid 200 grand and more for private trips. Also on several of the landings they put reflective metal on the moon which can be used to PROVE that they actually landed.

Mythbusters proved that the evidence AGAINST the lunar landing was misconceived. They didn't prove the landing, but that the vast majority of assumptions (such as the flag waving) were just misunderstood effects of gravity, vacuum, and light reflection.

Perhaps the estimate was rubbish?

Inferior to whom? The Soviets? Sure, the Soviets had a great head start from the military projects of WW2, but our investment into NASA would far surpass them as the Soviet Union gradually crumbled.

Yea. I'm pretty sure they have had already one. But it wasn't sweden though. I think the U.S.

The moon is definitely up there. I mean if it didn't exist, then what do we really see when we look up at the sky?

I believe that the pictures and videos that NASA showed us about the moon landing were all fake. You can clearly see that they were shot in a studio.
