    Why is Sythe always down?
    So, I am just curious: How can these major hosts withstand all these DoS attacks or all the bandwidth rapes, but Sythe can't? (I think Sythe is the only site I know of that goes down almost constantly.)

    Why is Sythe always down?
    Half the time Sythe is down because of us moderators doing our jobs and searching through IPs to find potential ban evaders etc. The results never come through anyway due to internal server errors.

    It's a pretty unavoidable thing, though perhaps it'd help with the downtime if the database was pruned.

    It's not that the host sucks. It's Sythe is unwilling to pay a shit ton for really good servers, which I don't blame him. The current servers cost like $300 a month or so I think.

    Sythe is down for me quite a bit, I am a chrome user and have tried all browsers to see if its the browser... Not the case- I do agree and think its the server. Everytime i had an idea sythe was down... 3 times today :( lol

    I don't blame him either, but there is always a better host for cheaper. I know a free host that has anti-DoS servers which will almost completely stop any attack, or at least distribute the attack so it is much less affective.

    Of course, I have never seen an InvisionFree server go down for longer than a few minutes - except for server 1. What are they doing different?

    It's just irritating to keep waiting 20 minutes just to load Sythe almost every time I wish to visit.

    They don't nearly have as many attacks as Sythe does. The amount of attackers are outrageous.
