60-97-1 --- But what prayer?

Hey guys, quick question:

Currently I'm a 60-97-1 pure, raising my ranged, currently it's in the 70s, going for upper 90s.

I am 1 prayer, and wondering what level is optimal?

I used to pk with smite, but that was long ago before the loot update. Is it still worth anything?

Prayer would unlock some stuff (accumulator, ancients) but up combat.

Anyway, any insight much appreciated.

 

43, Most people stick to 31 but they are usually lower level at 99 strength protect from melee would be helpful and it would unlock quest and items, especially desert treasure and accumulator

 

31 ....... unless u get 99 rannge and will be useing ur range to lower ur opponents hp 31 still as keepp str bonus on to get the ko.

if not 44 MAX

 

I'm similar stats, however my acc was made in 2005 and I had my stats in early 2007.

I just started to play again and my recommendation is to stay away from prayer, it isn't needed to have 43 prayer especially for quests like desert treasure, I've done those quests with 11 prayer (the prayer is 1-11 from priest in peril).

I recently got 13 because it does give a better advantage however I don't recommend getting 31 because its to much of a risk of combat levels and not needed at all. Just don't work on prayer untill you finish desert treasure.

i would stay at 1... recharging prayer at an alter/ppots is so annoying

 

44 prayer if ur gonna hybrid

 

yea i pk pretty much all the time that im on. however i dont go unless im 75-100ep.

 

31 Prayer If you like to pk solo.
44+ Prayer If you like to hybird, Clan, Nh

 

I am not a big fan of having Prayer on pures. So I'd say stay at 1, or get 13.

 

13 > 1 > 45 > 31

unless you're going to pvp in a firecape don't get 43, if you want to be a really low combat then stay at 1, or do desert treasure if you're hybrid. for the better combos and higher hits get 31. it's all upto you all i can say is it's not as strict as it used to be because you can attack people 10 levels higher than you

 

After reading the first few post with people suggesting you to get 43 and such I am going to just finish this topic lol.

Here is a detailed list of each prayer level that is most advantagious per comat level. You have to pick which one you want.

13 - Dt/Accumulator/Strength Prayer
31 - Best strength prayer for 1 defence
44 - Best attack prayer for 1 defence/FireCape/Protetion Prayers/Eagle Eye

13 prayer is only 2 high then what is needed for Dt and the Accumulator and generally wont add a combat level but will allow you to hit one higher. Accumulator is also great range bonus, and Dt brings in the allowance of ancients which is great in PvP and Bh.

31 Prayer is almost a requirment once you achieve level 99 strength. Once you are that level prayer is the only thing left to make you hit higher, and ultimate strength is the best strength prayer for one defence allowing you to hit 3 higher, that likes being 120 or so strength. Add that with a super strength pot and your maxing. You would trade combat levels for strength levels to hit higher, so once you maxed strength why not get 31 prayer?

Now as you get higher combat you will probably want 44 prayer. What 44 prayer unlocks makes you pure a lot more versatile. You can hybrid, now I know praying in a fight isnt honorable, but honestly when you risking 200m gear and fighting some main you can do whatever you have to do to win, its a fight. Also it unlocks all of godwars dungeon to a pure, as well as many other hard to access places. A pure isnt just stats, its items and equipment that make the account. 44 prayer helps with this a lot. Also FireCape is the only cape that adds strength bonus, and combined with a zerker ring or depending on your current strength bonus can make you hit 1-2 higher. It also unlocks incredible reflexes which makes you hit a lot more often. Eagle eye is the best ranged prayer and once your 99 range it's almost dumb not to have 44 prayer.

 

44 for range/melee hybriding.

 

If your just gonna edge pk and not bother with dt etc. just stick with 1 prayer. If not, go to 13 or 44.

 

I'd get 31 if I were you.

 

I'd just get 52 prayer tbh with you mate, no need for 95 on a 1 def.. Unless you get 45. and become prozerk.
