Gold4RS

It appears to me that Sythe has partnered with Gold4RS, there is now a section in the black market for the company.

Sythe doesn't need a monopoly, partnering with Gold4RS puts legit gold sellers/buyers on Sythe out of business.

I believe having them here will put a negative effect on our economy. I don't want the Sythe economy plummeting like the RL economy.

Double agree. Sythe, in my opinion bringing in more gold farmers is wrong... It's already wrong on how they are treated/paid, but than advertising them even more? It will just cause more hassle for them. I don't see why you would want them here... You should basically just delete the black market, and promote their section...

I think people realize that there is a difference between legitimate Sythe sellers and these websites like gold4rs. People come to Sythe sellers like myself for a more personal experience, one where you do not need to wonder if "Susan" on the Live Chat is really an underpaid, overworked 14 year old boy.

People come to Sythe sellers because they have competitive prices, top notch service, and because we connect with the buyers. My customers are my friends, I know more about them than I do about most of the people I've met in person. Players have known about these gold farming websites long before this support forum, and yet many of them come here to trade. There's a lot to be said there, and I don't see it changing.

 

It's not about their goldfarming sweat shop operating ethics

It's about their supposed scamming, a huge sign in your face that says buy from here, and a lack of rwt in the future

I'm against the semi monopoly from a moral standpoint. It's just like Live Nation and Ticketmaster. Sure they're two ticket companies but they charge what ever they'd like and people buy from them

If you stick a sign in someone's face, they go there first

 

Hmm after all the things I see on the board of people getting scammed by Gold4RS I don't think its a good idea.

You guys should have considered partnering with m5city's website power4rs, that would be a much better decision then partnering with Gold4RS.

If Gold4Rs has it's own section why shouldn't R2Peasant? Or ShredderBeam? or Inventor419?
I Mean they both are highly respected individuals. They offer great prices and are very friendly.

I posted a topic asking the same thing and it was promptly deleted with no answer.

They're not up there because they're a good, reputable company that everyone likes. I'm sure they're up there because they offered Sythe the right amount of money, and he accepted it.

I'm not saying this because I sell gold as well, I'm giving my honest opinion. I think it's a retarded idea. Their prices are pretty crappy (They charge higher per mill the more gold you buy), they're obviously a Chinese run website with HORRIBLE English, and there have been many reports of them scamming or screwing over people. Who would you rather buy from? R2Pleasent: A great guy, highly trusted person on Sythe, offers static prices, speaks PERFECT English, and will never scam you. Gold4RS: A website run by Chinese gold farmers, speak HORRIBLE English, charge more than R2 if you buy large quantities of gold, have been known to scam, and aren't very helpful after the transaction if anything goes wrong.

Personally, what I say doesn't matter one bit. It's Sythe site, and it's up to him to run it as he sees fit. Although, he should have made an announcement saying "Hey, Gold4rs paid me $200, so I overlooked the fact that they're a shit site and made a forum section for them. Cheers."

 

I agree with you %100. R2 Has his own site as does Gold4rs. Why not make a section for his site? I see some advertising for R2pleasent.com but i see more Gold4rs.

If I was R2Peasant or any other trusted gold seller on this site I would feel befriended. I mean i would feel disrespected.

Btw: R2Peasant speaks grammatically correct English. No such thing as "perfect" English.
I spoke to many representatives to different gold farming sites and they are hard to understand and work with. And Also to point out, that picture on the side aren't really them.

How will it cause them more hassle? They depend on us to pay their petty wages, and if we don't do it then they'll be in even more trouble financially then they are now.

 

I don't think R2 (or other gold sellers) have much to worry about. It's no secret Gold4Rs is full of idiots. They can't even have correct spelling in their advertisements. Not to mention their prices are pretty much the same as Inventor / R2, and they've had many complaints regarding scamming.

Sythe is only trying to increase his profit margins, and I'd do the same.

 

I don't even see why they are put on this website, there are MANY scam reports on gold4rs. How can you go against scammers, when there are PLENTY of claims, and reports that Gold4RS occasionally scams?
